Snowshoeing is a good way to enjoy the snow if you are not steady on a pair of skis. The snowshoe trip is fully guided, and we’ll provide you with the necessary gear. To maximise your chances of having a great experience, it’s important to dress warmly.

Daytime Snowshoe Trips. This is a great way to enjoy the winter landscape and the Arctic wilderness near Bodø. We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the nature, and on a guided tour you can immerse yourself in new knowledge about the Norwegian nature.

Arctic Night Snowshoe Hike. A bit adventurous? Then consider a mysterious evening snowshoe hike, which could be your chance to see the Northern Lights. You’ll then get a feeling of a winter night above the Arctic Circle. During the hike, we’ll stop by for a break, make an open fire and enjoy a hot drink.

You’ll get lots of fresh air, some exercise and at the same time enjoy snowy forests, silence and wilderness. Bodø offers a wide variety of tour options. We will choose the right one depending on the weather, snow conditions and the group. Winter walking nearby Bodø is a good choice if you want to spend a day outdoors during your visit to Northern Norway.

Ivar was very communicative and helpful when we booked a tour to go snowshoeing. He ensured the tour was suitable for our group’s needs and abilities and took us to some lovely places in the Salten region, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the outdoors. In addition to the snowshoeing, we also managed to see some elks, eagles, reindeer and roe deer in the wild which was an unexpected bonus!

Ivar knows Nordland/Bodø's surroundings incredibly well and is a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. I could feel that he is committed to creating the best possible experience for his clients. Even though I was the only one booked for the day, he still agreed to go ahead with the tour, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, there was not much snow by the time I arrived, so Ivar offered me the possibility to either cancel or to go for an alternative hike. I took him up on the hike and it turned out to be a beautiful trip to a magical forest and peninsula. Ivar also stopped at several interesting spots along the way to the hike.

We were so fortunate to have Ivar as our guide! He was very friendly and accommodating, happy to tailor the day to our preferences. He also gave us tips for seeing the northern lights, and we bonded over photography. We’d happily take another tour with him.

Definitely book this! Trip was very customizable to suit everyone and it did not feel touristy at all. A great way to authentically explore the area. Ivar is also a wonderful guide!

A great tour with a fantastic tour guide (Ivar). Snowhoeing at my own pace was lovely, moderate level. Beautiful nature, worths the visit. Ivar was very kind and patient to answer all my questions. He also recommended other things to do/ see in Bodo and Nordland, much appreciated! Communication and booking itself went fast. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable experience! I definitely recommend this. Our guide, Marianne, took us for a hike to the most breathtaking valley. Winter wonderland! On our way home, Marianne took a little detour to one of the most beautiful places around Bodø and recommended it for watching the Aurora. Also, thanks to much helpful advice from Ivar, we were able to catch the Aurora there later that night. Thank you so much, Marianne and Ivar!

A wonderful experience! We booked snowshoeing to discover the landscape around Bodø and everything was perfect. Ivar is an excellent guide and a very nice and sociable person, he showed us some magical places. We recommend this experience!

What a wonderful day we had with Tinna our guide! We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day to see the sparkling gorgeous landscape. The hike was exhilarating and Tinna did a great job of gauging the capabilities of the group and challenging us a bit with a route variation which we all really enjoyed. It was a great day and money well spent!

Ivar's enthusiasm for the outdoors is infectious. You know by his experience and professionalism that you are in safe hands. We met him at the Tourist Information in Bodo and he drove us into the hills where he helped us put on our snowshoes and guided us into the beautiful snowy landscape, We would not have found this walk without a guise. We saw moose tracks but never saw the beast. Ivar takes you at your your pace and does not push you past your capabilities. Excellent experience. We would do it again and recommend it to others.

Ivar organised a wonderful snowshoeing trip for us. He answered very fast and assisted us, while the cruise ship arrived one day early as we planned. It was no problem for him to change the trip. For us it was a great experience! We're very thankful!
