The Park is vital for the Canal of Panama functioning due to the rainforest and Gatun Lake water tributaries. It is also part of a biological corridor that goes all the way from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. In our way we will pass by the former Canal Zone, the Pedro Miguel Locks, Centenario Bridge and the French Cemetery (in honor of the canal workers).
Accompanied by our bilingual guide, you will hike through a dense tropical canopy, looking out for birds, monkeys, butterflies, frogs and many others species while listening to the informative commentary about the region’s incredible biodiversity.

Parque Nacional Soberania
A nice hike in the Panamanian Jungle, 8 to 10 kms under the dense canopy. We will enjoy the nature, plants, big trees, birds and many animals such as Monkeys, sloths, Coati, Anteater, among others.
Panama Canal
On our way to the National Park. We will pass besides the Canal of Panama and Pedro Miguel Locks.

5.00Nico, our guide has a degree in Biology and was so knowledgeable about all the fauna & flora along the trail. He made the drive interesting discussing Panama history, geography, anthropology, and culture. He was a superb hiking guide. He was able to spot animals, birds, insects and plants that we never would have seen on our own. In 3 hours along a flat wide path, we saw 10 species of birds, including the Collard Aracati (small toucan), the Yellow-Headed Caracara, and several species of Trogon. We saw a pack of Howler Monkeys, several 3 Toed Sloths, and many agouti. He also pointed out the millions of leaf cutter ants, termites, and millipedes. And we also saw tiny fish and large river crabs. His professional camera made it easy for us to see the animals even high up in the canopy, and he brought along binoculars to share. The only down side was the description mentioned that water was included, so we didn’t bring our camel back packs, however, there was no water so we had to buy water along the way and carry the bottles. However, the hike was super enjoyable, highly recommend!

5.00I have been coming to Panamá for over thirty years and have been on a multitude of tours. This tour was the absolute best, mainly due to Nico, our tour guide. Not only did we love the tour but we learned so much. Nico rocks!
Excellent tour!!! Highly recommend this tour and Christian as a tour guide. A+ experience.

5.00We saw many animals and all the beautiful trees and foliage. Christian was wonderful from start to finish. The ride there and back was smooth and he is so informative about the region and the plants and animals within. He spots everything and goes above and beyond to help you see it.

5.00We have gone on many jungle tours with our kids, and our guide for the Soberania National Park Hike was quite possibly the best we have ever had. He was excellent at spotting wildlife and knew a tremendous amount of information.
