At Hey Captain we do Social Sailing, where you meet new people and explore Copenhagen harbor. We started as friends on a boat and this is the atmosphere we want to deliver to our guests. It's a talk and a dialogue more than your standard classical tour.
The Captain’s Favorite is for you who wants to explore all of Copenhagen in its full glory. We explore the development of the harbor by journeying through areas that has been built by creating artificial islands over the last many decades. We do a brief stop at the fortress on Trekroner Island where history mix with the future, when we explore the historic fortress and see the first land reclamation of Lynetteholmen - the future island of Copenhagen. We then continue to Nordhavn where you experience firsthand the modern part of Copenhagen and how urbanization is transforming the industrial harbor into the recreational oasis that has made Copenhagen so famous. In the end we finish off with the picturesque canals of the old city centre.

5.00I absolutely loved this social sailing experience with Hey Captain. It was incredibly relaxing, and the views of Copenhagen from the water were stunning. I really enjoyed the social concept—there wasn’t a scripted commentary, just easy, natural conversation that flowed depending on the group’s interests. It made the whole experience feel personal and fun. Our captain was fantastic (and from Canada!), adding great energy while keeping everything smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour—you’ll see the city in such a beautiful way and meet great people along the route

5.00We took the 3 hour tour with Caroline and had an amazing time! Going out to the island with a fort on it and getting out to explore was an unexpected treat. We enjoyed learning about Copenhagen going through the city by boat. Small, intimate group made this a lot more enjoyable than big city boats. We were nervous about being cold, but the boat was covered and had grogg and blankets. We would highly recommend this tour!

5.00This was a very enjoyable afternoon sailing the canals odlf Copenhagen and admiring the river life and landmarks. It was a relaxed afternoon chatting with other guests on board. The visit to the abandoned island fortress was very interesting. Mathilde was an excellent skipper.

5.00We found out about Hey Captain from the concierge at our hotel, The Admiral. The Hey Captain staff was so friendly and likable. We went on a 3 hour tour, our captain was Philip-we had a great time and conversation with him. It was very relaxed and very informative. I highly recommend this company.

5.00I have been on a few canal tours but this was the best! I love the concept of social sailing. Our guide was awesome! We only had 2 other people on the boat with us, so we could ask lots of questions. He answered all of our questions and brought the history of Copenhagen to life.

5.00We had a great time travelling the canals. Lovely small group and our guide had lots of information and history to share with us. Conversation flowed and it really did feel like you were amongst friends. Definitely put this on your list of things to do when visiting Copenhagen.

5.00Fantastic experience with Mathilde even with the chilly damp weather! It was so great getting to know her and Copenhagen. Great way to explore the city. She’s so knowledgeable about the city’s history and architecture. Stayed warm with blankets and hot cocoa. Highly recommend!
