At Hey Captain we do Social Sailing, where you meet new people and explore Copenhagen harbor. We started as friends on a boat and this is the atmosphere we want to deliver to our guests. It's a talk and a dialogue more than your standard classical tour.
The Captain’s Favorite is for you who wants to explore all of Copenhagen in its full glory. We explore the development of the harbor by journeying through areas that has been built by creating artificial islands over the last many decades. We do a brief stop at the fortress on Trekroner Island where history mix with the future, when we explore the historic fortress and see the first land reclamation of Lynetteholmen - the future island of Copenhagen. We then continue to Nordhavn where you experience firsthand the modern part of Copenhagen and how urbanization is transforming the industrial harbor into the recreational oasis that has made Copenhagen so famous. In the end we finish off with the picturesque canals of the old city centre.

5.00Absolutely awesome tour, Magnus is great. The boat was lovely and appreciated the personal and small group size. A highlight of my trip to Copenhagen. Having done the 3 hour tour, I can’t imagine missing anything so I think it’s definitely the best option if you have the time. Only thing I would do differently is take this tour sooner- seeing so much of the city earlier would have helped me get my bearings.

5.00Beautiful tour around Copenhagen through lots of canals I didn’t know existed. Relaxing way to see the city, especially on a sunny day. Since this is “social sailing” you’ll be encouraged to talk with your neighbors, but after a bit of awkwardness it made the trip much more enjoyable.

5.00Me and my daughter recently joined the Social Sailing – Copenhagen Canal Tour – Captain’s Favorite with other 4 American guests..The tour was led by two young captains, Zach, a local Dane, and Almer, an American who moved from Florida to Denmark. Despite their young age, both captains were impressively knowledgeable, offering clear and engaging explanations about Copenhagen’s history, Danish culture, and current-day life in Denmark. Their storytelling style was interactive, friendly, and fun, creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests felt comfortable asking questions and joining the conversation. The combination of local perspective from Zach and fresh immigrant insight from Almer made the tour especially dynamic. Their energy, humor, and genuine enthusiasm turned the canal trip into a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone on board.

5.00Highly recommend the one hour tour. Much preferred the small boat, the social sailing and the banter. Can’t praise the staff and booking team enough. Really friendly and helpful. Felt very genuine. Hats off to our captain too. The tour was informative and like many other reviews, it’s a social sail so if you prefer just hanging back and just taking everything in, it might not be for you. I felt very comfortable as a solo traveller and as lucky with a really interesting bunch to sail with. Reminded me of what travel is all about.

5.00Even though it rained, we had a good trip. We were warm and dry but couldn't see through the plastic. Christopher was an excellent guide and Elmer was a nice pilot.

5.00Great outing. Met some very nice people. Our Captain/guide was excellent - was informative while at the same time letting us interact/socialize with the other guests on the boat. Highly recommend.
