  You need to be a good swimmer. Currents are strong. The guide was very informative and experienced. Safety was high on their list.

  I would like to give 7 stars, but unfortunately that is not possible. Super relaxed pickup at the cruise port, relaxed drive to the organizer in the south (duration about 35min with some traffic jam in the city). Then short briefing and short walk into the mangroves. There is always a little explanation. By kayak it is then about 20 min through the mangroves to a small beach. From there to the boat and about 1-2 km offshore to the reef. Guided snorkeling tour, took about 40 minutes (pure snorkeling time). Very relaxed and nice, but you should feel comfortable in the water, a bit undulating and easy current. Then back to the small beach and from there 20 min in a kayak back to the starting point. Small snack with local delicacies and then we were driven back to the cruise port. This time 30 min drive without traffic jam. Successful excursion, great organizer. Many thanks to the team at SoCoHo

  This was a highlight of our trip. Our family including 7 year old had a great time, felt safe and had a ton of fun. All the equipment was in good shape, and the instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to our captain Jensen and our snorkel diver (forgot his name) but also great. Worth every penny.

  I've enjoyed many snorkeling excursions; but this one was by far the most enjoyable time. As the only member of the group leaving the St. John's pier from my ship, I road the 45-minute drive to the southern end of Antigua in the cab of the excursion Jeep with my driver and guide, Essan. Not only was he a friendly, thoughtful, and considerate guide, but I learned he was also a World Class professional cricketeer, playing for the Beddington Cricket Club in Surrey, England, as well as the Leeward Islands and Antiguan professional club teams. After a lovely drive through farm fields, small towns, and coastal panoramas, including a view of Montserrat across the water, we arrived at the beach to board 2-person kayaks for a serene paddle through the mangroves, finally beaching the crafts, shedding our shoes, and skimming over the waves to the reef. Excellent equipment was provided, and the group was guided to a serene hour of snorkeling above the reef. Clear, warm water provided nice views of the sea creatures and beautiful coral formations. Upon returning to the boat we once again boarded our kayaks to paddle back to the base for a light lunch. Each staffer was friendly, helpful, and interesting, presenting the opportunity to befriend local individuals intent on making their visitors feel welcome. Following an equally enjoyable drive back to the pier, I parted with Essan; both of us expressing the hope to meet again sometime or somewhere in the future. This nearly 78-year old gent could not have been happier than to have spent some time sharing music and insights with his 23-year old Antiguan cricketeer guide!

  It's a short kayak trip. The staff was great, but the tour wasn't what I had hoped for. Snorkeling was in very choppy water and the reef was damaged and grey. I did see a sea turtle though!
