• Too much time in the coffee shop

  The tour and information given were good. The part I didn’t like was that we stopped for coffee and spent over 30 minutes just sitting. I didn’t sign up and pay for a tour to sit and drink coffee. Even with 25% of the time spent in the coffee shop, we still finished before the two hours advertised. I don’t feel like I got what I paid for.

  It was great! Our tour guide nessi was the best! She was very knowledgeable and had a great ability to explain/ understand in English and Spanish! Although it rain, Nessi was able to keep the mood light and fun with her fun facts about the city and jokes! Our group although was very friendly lol. I mean 2 Dominicans , 2 Italians and 3 Maltese 🤭🤭 the perfect formula for an extrovert.

  A walking tour like this is a must to make sense of what you see in Sofia and other parts of Bulgaria. Joy was a perfect guide and we learnt so much about the history, culture, religion and politics of this very old country. Ideas for how we could spend the afternoon were really useful, we filled our bottles from the thermal water tap and were taken to a rather nice cafe for some proper hot chocolate. What a well-spent 2 hours in this compact historical centre. We thoroughly recommend this tour.

• Great introduction to Sofia

  Joy was a delightful guide and we were fortunate enough to be the only members of the group. In the space of 2 hours we learnt a huge amount about Bulgarian history- of which we were totally ignorant- religion, politics, architecture and culture. We were taken into churches, shown places where we could explore in depth in our own time. We filled our bottles up at the thermal spring, as all locals do. A refreshment and comfort break was very welcome and we had some delicious hot chocolate at a cafe we would never have entered on our own. Thank you for such a wonderful introduction to your country: we had a really enjoyable afternoon at the National Archaeological Museum. We would definitely recommend this introduction to help you make the most of a trip to Sofia.

  Thoroughly enjoyed our tour around Sofia. Vessy was very knowledgeable about the city, lots of interesting fact about the history of Sofia and made it fun along the way. Stopped at a cafe for hot chocolate for half an hr which broke up the walking. Very good value for money. Thank you!

  Our guide Vessy was lovely, friendly and had amazing historic knowledge. She delivered the information in a very engaging way and was so interesting to listen to. I have been a numerous walking tours in different cities and some guides can be quite boring to listen to but Vessy was great to listen to and learn from and her communication skills are excellent. She engaged all four of us in our group by asking questions. She even added in a lovely little extra stop off so we had baileys hot chocolate in a beautiful cafe overlooking a park. We visited all 3 main churches in Sofia, ancient Roman ruins, thermal springs and various monuments, learning so much about the rich and ancient history of Sofia.   Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of Bulgaria and the city of Sofia. She was lovely, friendly and took pictures of us infront of the different landmarks we visited. I would definitely recommend a tour with Vessy.

• Just perfect. So much knowledge about the city packed so interestingly! A totally charming city guide.
