1 hour Daintree River wildlife and crocodile cruise on the only solar electric boat on the Daintree river. The boat it is nice and quiet and there are no petrol fumes or exhaust , it is also good for getting close to the wildlife without disturbing it. We aim to treat this fragile ecosystem with respect and have minimal impact, our boat does not create a wake so we do not erode the mangroves. We are the only boat with "Croc Cam"; a digital video with a very good zoom for showing hard to see animals on a big screen. Wildlife includes Salt Water Crocodiles, snakes, frogs, and birds and also interpretation of the mangrove environment. The business is locally family owned and operated and has been going since 2002. We offer a unique eco experience with minimal impact; see, hear and smell nature at its best. We also offer longer two or three hour cruises by bookings only, maximum 10 people great for photography or those that want a longer more personalised tour.

Know that you have enjoyed seeing crocodiles & other wildlife without having any impact on it. We have to only solar assisted boat on the Daintree river. We have a 99% success rate* for spotting crocodiles, excellent birding opportunities and other wildlife possibilities such as snakes, frogs, crabs and fish. Your experienced interpretive guide is accustomed to the nuances of the river, rain-forest and mangroves and can spot an incredible variety of wildlife that you would not necessarily see on your own. The boat is fitted with the unique "CROC CAM" to help show well camouflaged crocodiles & wildlife. Due to the unpredictable nature of wildlife if you miss out on seeing a crocodile you can come again for free.

5.00Absolutely incredible! We saw 4 crocs, 2 babies, one large female and one large male! It was an amazing experience, our guide was super welcoming and knowledgeable. The smaller boat definitely makes for a positive experience with more room to look on each side with no obstructions.

5.00Our guide was phenomenal. He has been guiding on the Daintree for almost 30 years and knows each croc by name and behavior. He also spotted birds and frogs for us. Loved the electric boat!

5.00Our enthusiastic guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. He got us very close to 3 large adult crocs and 2 young ones. He was so enthusiastic, he ran over time. Comfortable flat bottomed metal boat with shaded cover.
A great day on the river, despite seeing just one crocodile.

4.00We had a great hour out on the river. Although we only saw one female crocodile and a small adolescent, our guide was a mine of information not only about crocodiles but about the river and other wildlife. I would definitely recommend the company and trip but do ask or research in advance the time of year you are going and the likelihood of seeing crocodiles so you manage your expectations.

5.00We had a great hour on the Daintree spotting crocodiles. David is a fantastic guide and does an amazing job of pointing out crocodiles (as well as other wildlife) and teaching about them. Even though it's harder to find crocodiles in the summer, we were lucky to see two babies and two adults. We felt totally safe the entire time. Such a memorable experience!

5.00Absolutely THE best boat tour in the Daintree I’ve ever done. Great value too. Small group. Quiet comfortable small electric boat, got into places others couldn’t, saw stuff others didn’t. Mark, our guide, was outstanding! Eloquent, knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the natural history, conservation and ecology of the area - an absolute pleasure to listen to. I learned a lot. Couldn’t have asked for a better overall experience - from buying tickets to disembarking - wonderful trip with lovely staff. Thanks everyone. I’ll be back!

5.00We had an amazing time on the Solar Whisper. We really couldn’t recommend them enough. The host was really knowledgable and informative and we spotted some crocs, including a couple juveniles! It was a great hour spent on the river and we loved our trip. It was even better that Peppa the schnauzer joined us!
Well worth the trip.

4.00Our guide Mark was brilliant, and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately there wasn't much action on our particular outing but Mark did try and persevere to get a better look at the local monster, scarface. We saw him pop up briefly a few times, but we also saw a baby croc in full. A great trip overall but as we were informed it's better in their winter months.

5.00Our guide Mark was excellent! He was clearly passionate about the animals, conservation and the special beauty of this ancient and amazing place. He took us to see Scarface, the largest male saltwater croc in the area and we were lucky enough to see him turn and face us while partially submerged. We also got to see a baby croc and a green tree frog. I have no idea how Mark was able to spot the frog! I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Cairns/Daintree/Mossman area.
