This one-of-a-kind experience takes guests to hidden coves that sparkle with pyrite (fool’s gold), creating a magical shimmer across the lakebed. Along the way, you’ll glide past dramatic rock formations and learn about the rich natural and cultural history of Lake Tahoe. The activity lasts approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours and includes: 1.5 hours of guided kayaking in completely clear kayaks 1 to 1.5 hours on a scenic water shuttle This premium experience sets itself apart by taking you away from the crowds and into the most ideal conditions for paddling. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, explore secluded coves, and witness water depths of up to 75 feet beneath your kayak. 5.00This trip was so smooth and a fun overview of the area!!! Giovanni was amazing and such a great guide and “people person” he took some amazing fun pix of everyone and told so many stories about the area, the time flew by!!!! Would recommend this trip to anyone- was not strenuous at all!

5.00My husband and I shared a two person kayak which we were glad about because we could visit during the trip. The Explorer tour out of South Lake Tahoe was awesome. They took us to emerald cove which is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The water is so clear and blue it’s hard to believe. Being on a clear kayak was a unique experience. The guide Ryan was very knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions for local places and hikes. I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Tahoe

5.00We participated in the 6:45 am tour and it was awesome in every way! Chase, our tour guide, was very informative. He know a lot about the lake but he also gave us interesting information about the shoreline, birds, rocks, mountains, as well as recommendations for restaurants around the lake. It was out favorite part of our vacation!

5.00Awesome kayake! The only suggestion I could make is the tour guide either needs to speak when everyone is within ear shot or the tour should have a system (ear phones?) so that everyone can hear. I didn’t hear over half of the tour guide speaking.
