Trou aux Cerfs
Travelers will visit Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater located in the heart of Curepipe. 4.00This trip mainly provides a driver to take you to the scenic spots in South Mauritius, a great alternative to costly ship excursion on a tour bus to the same places. Chucky our young driver was on time to meet us at 8:30am and was quite friendly and very chatty. There were 4 of us in his "Lexus" that was clean and comfortable with AC. It was Easter Sunday, so thankfully far less traffic on the roads. We hit all the spots on the itinerary with adequate time, except the rum distillery that was closed. He even made a short stop on side of road to pick and try some guava fruit. It was a warm sunny day, so the overlooks and waterfalls were beautiful, especially the Chamarel twin falls! And 7 Colorured Earth is so unique--don't skip the tortoises (fee to park US$16). Next was a late lunch at the small Flamboyant Chamarel restaurant for local foods served on banana leaf (meal US$15-20ea). Trip back was crazy for several km due to narrow 2-lane road at a super busy time that afternoon as a multitude of locals park on side of road to pick guava (only in month of April). We had to constantly weave around parked and oncoming cars and people everywhere--can't believe no one gets hit! Chucky was wiling to stop at the mall for us to make a quick stop in a grocery store, then we arrived back at the port by 4pm. He could have been more helpful at certain spots to say the destination is this or that way, or will take you X-minutes to get there. But he always let us know where he would be parked and allowed us to spend as much time as we wished. And the best benefit was being in car vs a tour bus, with a local driver who knows his way around. So it's a great value for all you get to see.

5.00We had an amazing South Tour with Saroj and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure the entire experience was tailored to our needs. From start to finish, everything felt very comfortable and well organized. What really stood out was her deep insider knowledge. She didn’t just show us the typical spots, but helped us truly understand and appreciate the south of the island in a much more authentic way. Her explanations, tips, and local insights made a huge difference. The whole tour felt relaxed, personal, and genuinely enjoyable. 5.00Visited Mauritius in early part of February, beautiful country with amazing and scenic views. To ease transportation, we used the services of Tropical taxi Mauritius. Our experience with them was amazing , very pleasant, professional and incredibly knowledgeable about Mauritius. One particular driver I would recommend Jervin! Absolutely amazing, friendly , great conversation and overall very down to earth On our last days we use Aashiv and his mum. Very welcoming people, made us feel like being part of their family and incredibly helpful. Thank you Mauritius.

5.00A beautiful discovery of the south-west part of the island. A trip with a young guide who has the passion to transmit the colors of his island and a fabulous meal with the 7 carry! Solo trip with possibility of having a female driver for those who are more fearful. Total security and beautiful discovery. I recommend!
