• South Sea Island Combo tour, a great day out

  The South Sea Island Combo trip was a great choice for us. The Snorkelling was great, seeing lots of colourful fish and coral. The lunch was delicious and we enjoyed the traditional songs and dancing. The cruise back through the islands was great to see where they were all located.

  

• 8 hour trip, not 1/2 day!

  We wanted a half day excursion during our short trip to Fiji. This excursion was billed as a 3 hour island visit starting at 8:45 am. Once we booked the trip, we were instructed to be picked up by our bus at 7:05 am. I talked to a representative and was told that the bus pickup was to get us to the dock in time for an 8:45 departure. I could have paid for a cab to take us to the dock at a later time but was afraid we wouldn’t find the departure point at the Port Denarau marina. In retrospect, we would have been fine doing this. Instead, we were picked up at 7:05 and got to the Port at 7:30, a full 1 hour, 15 minutes before departure! The actual excursion was great: beautiful island, fun dancers, good food, friendly people, nice snorkeling, but the real surprise came on the way back to Nadi: our boat acted as a ferry and stopped at at least 7 other island resorts picking up and dropping off people before getting us back to Port Denarau. So, instead of leaving the island at 12:30 (which we did) and getting back to the dock 30-45 minutes later, we did not get back to our bus until 3:00 pm and then still had the 20 minute bus ride back to our hotel. In all, our “1/2 day excursion” took over 8 hours! I never would have chosen this excursion if I had known it would have taken up so much of our limited time in Fiji.

  Great day at island - very organised. Lunch was lovely and plentiful. Cruise back was a bit rough and long - would of preferred to come back to port earlier.

  Great day out ,beautiful island staff was very friendly great entertainment . Would have been good to give some better instructions for first time snorkellers to familiarise with equipment before jumping into the sea..Otherwise a a wonderful experience .cheers

  Not as expected. Full disclosure we received a discounted trip through Wyndham. We had expected the day to include a visit to the island with glass bottom boat and snorkel trip followed by a tour around the islands to do more snorkelling. Perhaps there was miscommunication along the way - however after about 2.5-3 hours on the island the second half this trip is sitting on the ferry to go around the islands dropping off visitors, guests and staff to the surrounding islands and resorts. Snorkelling on the island and glass bottom boat is OK but there wasn’t an opportunity to do any actual reef snorkelling. Wouldn’t recommend this for kids. It was boring and time consuming. Kids were really disappointed at having to sit on the boat for 3 hours - during which they whinged that we had promised snorkelling. There’s half a day we’ll never get back on our Fiji holiday. To make it more confusing the operators gave us the wrong wrist band meaning to every staff member we had to explain the situation that we were on a different trip to the one we had a wrist band for.

  

  

  

• Great cruise around the Fiji islands

  This was a great tour. We stopped and spent the day at South Seas island, which had tons of activities included. When we left, the ship operates as a taxi and took us on a 2 hour tour of 6 other islands. it was great and there was so much to see.

  The day at South Sea Island with lunch was great! We enjoyed lunch and the water activities! We did not expect to be picked up at 12:30 by an island hoping tour, thus we got back to thr Port later than anticipated and we were late for our next excursion. The islands were very neat.

  Beautiful island with lots of chilling to be had. Paddleboarding, kayaking and the glass bottom boat are all cool. Snorkelling isnt the best that we've done, but it's ok. Food is fine, and complementary drinks are great. My 15yr old and I did the scuba experience which was awesome. Highly recommend.

  

• Would do it all again. Great day trip to doo with family and friends!

  It was a beautiful, relaxing experience and I would do it again! The staff were great, beautiful beaches, semi-submersible submarine tour included and bbq followed by local entertainment.

  The island is amazing. Would definitely recommend the glass bottom boat, and the snorkeling. The activities are very short and regimented. Would definitely recommend going snorkeling just off the beach. The water is clear and warm. The stops at islands in the afternoon are short and more so for picking up other passengers. The half day tour or the full day stop at south sea island would probably be a better use of time.
