Gorgeous little South Sea Island is one of the treasures of the Mamanuca Islands. Crystal clear waters, coral reefs and thousands of colourful tropical fish surround the tiny island.
The Half Day cruise to South Sea Island is perfect for those who don't have a lot of time to spare but still want a taste of the 'real Fiji'. This fantastic cruise means you'll get to explore one of Fiji's cutest Mamanuca Islands and get into 'island time'. As the island is only 30 minutes from Denarau, you'll have time to do many of the activities on the island and meet the friendly Fijian's ashore.

Mamanuca Islands
Half a day to South Sea Island is an easy 30-minute ferry ride. Perfect for those who don't have a lot of time to spare, but still want a taste of the 'real Fiji'. This fantastic cruise means you'll get to explore one of Fiji's cutest Mamanuca Islands and get into 'island time' The island will be yours for the rest of the day until the catamaran arrives around 5.30 pm to bring you back to Port Denarau. Transfers back to select hotels/resorts in Nadi, Denarau, and Wailoaloa area are included if prebooked.
Port Denarau Marina
A complimentary coach transfer is provided for this tour from select hotels/resrts Nadi, Denarau, and the Wailoaloa area. Air-conditioned coaches will pick you from designated pick up points approximately 75 minutes before the departure time. You will then need to check in at the South Sea Cruises check-in counter. Please keep your voucher numbers or e-confirmation available when you are at the counter. Our lovely South Sea Cruises staff with a big Bula smile will then provide your boarding pass for the catamaran. Our modern catamarans have air-conditioned lounges, outside viewing decks and fully licensed bars, meaning you’ll feel on holiday, even en route to your island escape.

Duration: 5 hours: The Cruise departs Port Denarau at 12:15pm and arrives Port Denarau at 6:00pm
Lunch: A BBQ buffet lunch, local beer, house wine, bottled water, and soft drinks are all included while on South Sea Island.
Pick Up Area: Departs Port Denarau at 12:15pm for customers from Denarau, Wailoaloa & Nadi areas ONLY. Returns to Port Denarau at 6pm

5.00I had a wonderful time! If I knew then what I know now, I would have done the whole day. It was very easy check-in, transport to island, and the instructions were well-explained as soon as we got to the island. Then you're left to your own devices for the afternoon. Lunch is first, drinks available at all times, a couple of opportunities for snorkel or glass-bottom boat, and then you can just relax on the beach, snorkel on your own, relax relax relax. Groups are not too big and you never feel crowded on the island, but still have enough other people to chat with. Also, lunch was delicious and they made a special entre set aside because I told them I was vegetarian.

5.00Relaxing, decent drinks, warm water. BBQ lunch was good, salads, BBQ chicken drumsticks and pork sausages.Had everything we needed.

3.00Our day was "OKAY". Food was nice, although rushed. There was a complimentary bar for drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. There were "rules" but they didn't seem to be applied to the locals who were drunk and unruly. Also on the boat back to Denarau, we picked up other people from different islands, totally drunk and loud. We were a family group with 4 children from 1 up to 10 and I recommend you avoid taking children into this environment.

5.00A beautiful little island. Great for swimming and glass bottom boat on a fine day. The day I went it was raining heavily and the boat crew did an incredible job transferring people to the large boat in heavy seas. The food and entertainment was great. I really liked the complimentary drinks. Would come back again on a fine day. Vinaka!

4.00It was a good experience. We were picked from our hotel lobby. They don't announce much and the bus does not have South Sea Island Tour, so keep checking when the buses comes to pick you up. They had an orientation when we reached the island, followed by lunch and welcome music & dance. Since we don't eat meat, we managed with the salads, pasta, and garlic bread they had for buffet lunch. It would be nice if they can keep some main course dishes for vegetarians as well, there were 4 meat/seafood dishes. Water and soft drinks are complimentary. You can order other drinks. We went for snorkeling and glass bottom tour, all included . The glass bottom tour was the highlight. We saw a lot of beautiful coral, fishes and marine life. It was fascinating and beautiful. We found it better than Cairns. They also take you near corals in the ocean if you want to snorkel. I got late but they were so nice to take me into the water alone and the instructor swam back to the shore with me. Overall it was a nice experience. The island is small but sweet. We felt half day was enough.
