  Don’t get me wrong, this is a cool experience. You get a full day on a sailing catamaran and time out at a coral cay with nothing more than palm trees, chairs, and crabs on it. HOWEVER, the snorkeling was pretty garbage. The water was very murky, since the cay is near a shipping channel and exposed to currents and weather. I could only see about 3 meters (9 ish feet) down. And while there were starfish and sea cucumbers, there wasn’t much else. Hardly any fish. If you are doing this for the snorkeling, look elsewhere. The yasawa islands are WAY better for working, because they have a barrier reef protecting them, meaning the water is crystal clear and there are fish everywhere. However, with everything else, it was pretty cool. The staff were super friendly, unlimited soft drinks all day and unlimited hard drinks for two hours was a large plus. Lunch was….passable. Various meats and a choice of salad. The vessel, Sabre, was really cool. Very stable, lots of cool seating, and watching them rig the sail was something I hadn’t ever experienced. Unfortunately the vessel is kind of slow, even under motor power, so you do spend most of your time traveling. Super cool if you just do this for the sailing/relaxation portion, really a bummer if you wanted to snorkel a lot. I think I only had an hour in the water. Overall, it’s cool. However, I just sit here debating if it was $120 USD cool. I just don’t think it was. If you are on the fence, do it. You won’t regret it. But if you don’t get around to it, or miss out due to weather, I wouldn’t be upset.

  

  

  

  

• Fun day on sandbar

  Great ship and crew. Lunch cooked on board was surprisingly very good. One thing to note is there's only one stop on this entire day trip and it's at a sandbar not an island. Still a good day but I was not the only person that thought we were doing multiple stops in the day.

• A Wonderfully Run Trip which is full of fun

  Did this tour on a recommendation of a friend who went in February and was definitely not disappointed. This is such a Professionally run tour with absolutely incredible staff, all fun and beaming with an abundance of personality and willing to help and assist you with anything. The food , drinks and entertainment was all fantastic. Went on Tuesday 24th March and everyone including the tourists were all wonderful and help make it a memorable experience in Fiji which I shall never forget, especially having drinks on the Sandbar 😀

  We had a free pick up from where we were staying, the boat is huge and we managed to get a great spot on the lounge bed which even had a shade sail which was great, it was lovely being out on the water and the staff was amazing, friendly and saw to your every need, the songs they sung were great! the snorkelling wasn’t in ideal conditions, it was pretty rough and you really had to struggle to compete with the waves, lots of people on board commented on the fact we were swimming against the current which made it hard to enjoy seeing the fish, as you were struggling with the waves to try and swim, plus the guide just kind of went ahead and there were people a fair way behind struggling to catch up, so it’s not suitable for people who aren’t confident swimmers under these conditions, also I felt like the smaller boat should hover around closer to the snorkelling incase anyone wants to go back on board the big boat, a couple we spoke to were struggling to even see the guide and to get their way back to the sand bar, no one snorkelled for very long because it was nearly impossible, the drinks at the sandbar were cool and the slide off the boat and jumping off was fun, the food was really good better than some restaurants we have been to, not sure why the 2 hours of complimentary drinks started at the same time you went to snorkel…maybe something to consider (in saying that because of the conditions we weren’t snorkelling for that long anyway, had the weather been better we would have and therefore not even been on board for the free drinks) The trip back to the port wasn’t pleasant it became really rowdy and too loud to be able to sit there and relax and enjoy the scenery, I’m all for people having a good time but blaring music so loud you can’t even hear the person next to you and drunk people stumbling around really isn’t for everyone, there were children on board and people who didn’t want to be a part of that chaos…consider everyone on board as we have all paid to be there not just the “party people” hence why I have given a 4/5 rating, overall quite an enjoyable day with amazing staff just needs some improvements in parts.

  

  

  

• World-class Saber Sailing Experience

  So we went for the off island snorkeling access but the food and drinks aboard were better than what we’ve had at our resort which blew us away! We were greeted with music, met wonderful fellow travelers, had a blissful time in the water and soaked in the scenic surrounding too and from our destination. I personally charter and sail boats myself all over the world and the crew of Saber did a world class job keeping everyone safe, well fed and entertained throughout the experience. Tremendous value for your travel dollar if you like to sail, swim and meet fellow travelers in Fiji.

  This excursion was so much fun! We saw amazing marine life during the Coral snorkeling part. Our guide for the snorkeling was knowledgeable and made the experience easy and laid back. Food was also great and the dancing…let’s just say fun was had by ALL!! 💃🏼🕺🏼

• So Many Reasons To Go On This Tour

  This tour was awesome from start to finish. My husband and I have been on dozens of tours and this one is right there on top. Often passengers are packed in like sardines but not this one. The area was spacious, benched seating/tables and covered to shade everyone from the direct sun. The area on the trampolines had oversized beanbag loungers to relax in as we sailed along. We did not expect the food (two meals) to be so yummy! We have never been on a tour where there were ten staff, which meant all our wants and needs were meet. They even played their guitars and sang to us. The snorkelling was good but our highlight was the sand bar. What an awesome experience to be in the ocean and being able to sit on the sand and enjoy a beverage. There was also a slide on board, paddle boards and diving off the boat.
