Nightmare Day at Deer Island!!!!

1.00I strongly advise against the 5 islands excursion with the boat WAVE BREAKER BOAT TOURS!!!! We booked with Mauritus Island Tours and Rental an October 2024 excursion for 2 people that cost us 6000 rupees. Very disappointed with the day. We had to change boats five times because of repeated breakdowns. We stayed for an hour and a half on the boat near Ile aux Fouquets waiting for another boat to pick us up. Since we were late, they landed us on the wrong side of Deer Island in a kind of mangrove, nothing like the picture of postcard we were sold. Then they left leaving us to our fate, no escort present with us. Then a boat picked us up around 5:00. We tightened up as well as we could on a small overloaded boat, with no lifejacket that was planned for 13 people max when we were 16 not counting the skipper, to arrive at Blue Bay around 5:30 pm when the excursion was to end around 3 pm. Waste of time and money!!!!! We had been sold a dream, but it was rather a nightmare!!!!! To avoid absolutely!!!!!!!

5.00We stayed 14 days in Belle Mare and Umaima from Mauritius Island Tours & Rentals has organized everything for us during our stay: car rental + private outings with driver in the south, in the north, and 2 fast boat trips and catamaran for the 5 southern islands and the northern islands. Everything was perfectly organized, no false Rating. Awards are really good. And especially Umaima is extremely kind, always listening, available... she is adorable! ♥️♥️♥️ Thanks to Umaima and her team (Sakir, Imram...) we had a wonderful stay, stress-free and we discovered the island at our own pace. Do not hesitate to contact her, you will not be disappointed! Everything was perfect: thanks to the whole Team, you are on top 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
