Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta
You will be collected from Southampton and driven, by private vehicle, to Salisbury Cathedral, approximately 1 hour away. The cathedral was the inspiration behind Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" novel and has a number of unique and unusual features. Your guide will take you on a private walking tour of the cathedral to show you these features - including the world's oldest working clock and one of the 4 remaining copies of the 1215 Magna Carta.
Bath
After visiting Salisbury Cathedral you will be driven to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath, approximately 1 hour away. Your guide was born in Bath and will take you on a private walking tour of this charming city which is famous for its hot springs, architecture and past residents such as Jane Austen. You will be shown the city's famous buildings and landmarks, including the ones listed below.

5.00Daniel took great care of us in what turned out to be a wonderful day. We took our teenagers daughter and son on this 10h trip and we lost track of time. We loved it, and the kids also loved it. The tour blends history with panoramic views, and Daniel enriches it with connections to the recent past, keeping everyone interested at all times. Time flies when you combine a very interesting itinerary with an engaging guide as Daniel was.

5.00Our tour guide Daniel was the absolute best. His knowledge and presentation of the history of all the sites we visited was truly amazing and insightful. The best private tour we have ever taken!! After 9+ hours together, we exchanged dozens of travel stories, making our day together even so much more enjoyable.

5.00Dan our tour guide was WONDERFUL and made this excursion GREAT. He has a wealth of knowledge and was so pleasant to be around. We have done tours all of the world and this one was by far our favorite and mostly because of Dan. You will not be disappointed by scheduling a private tour and it is totally worth every penny you spend on it. We will definitely book with Dan again if we are in the area and we will recommend him to all of our friends. Thank you for making this such a fun and memorable trip for us.

5.00This is a private tour and Dan was quite possibly the best tour guide that we have ever had on any of our past vacations. The tour was great and Dan wis a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. We would highly recommend him. We actually took his business card to pass on to a travel agent friend back home.

5.00Daniel was prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The tour went as planned. He brought us to Stonehenge later in the day, and it was not crowded at all. He has a thorough knowledge of the history, architecture, and culture of every place we visited.

5.00Daniel,owner/operator, of Bath Insider tours provided knowledge of the area with a sense of humor. His easy personality combined with his skills are a terrfic combination! We had fun while we enjoyed learning about Bath and the surrounding area. We were also privileged to be able to enter the inner circle of Stonehenge,due to the Spring Equinox.This was a powerful and moving experience. Dan is a definite if you are looking for a tour guide who provides a 5 plus service!

5.00Daniel treated our group of 6 to a wonderful day. We learned so much, while being thoroughly entertained at every stop and all along the route. Daniel made sure that we were all well fed and happy, and knew the best places to go for spectacular views, at the most advantageous time of day for photo opportunities. We will definitely contact Daniel again if our future travels bring us to this part of the world.

5.00We highly recommend Daniel as a tour guide! His knowledge is quite impressive. He shared local myths and legends, took us to a local pub for lunch in Bath, and planned a perfect full day of sightseeing for us.
