Derawar Fort
The Derawar Fort is a large square fortress in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan. The fortress's forty bastions can be seen from a distance in the Cholistan Desert.Derawar fort was built by Rai Jajja Bhatti, a Rajput ruler of the Bhatti clan. The fort was built in the 9th century AD as a tribute to Rawal Deoraj Bhatti, a Rajput sovereign king of the Jaisalmer now in India ,In the 18th century, the fort was taken over by Muslim Nawabs of Bahawalpur from the Shahotra tribe. It was later renovated by Abbasi rulers, but in 1747 the fort slipped from their hands owing to Bahawal Khan's preoccupations at Shikarpur. Nawab Mubarak Khan took the stronghold back in 1804. 1,000 year-old catapult shells were found in the debris near a decaying wall in the fort.

Our driver and Guido was very pleasant, took good care of us and could explain a lot at the places we visited. We saw a lot of interesting places and were astonished to see so many cultural heritages. A most advisible trip!

We had a wonderful tour with Fadh. Truly professional and with a lot of experience. We were surprised at how much he knows about the history of the sights, which gave us some context. I can't think of a better guide in the UNESCO sites. He is the one. By the way, the South rich history, culture and architecture are a must.

Fahad was an absolute amazing guide, he took us from Karachi to Lahore on a well planned trip he arranged everything we just told him what we wanted to see and he also proposed some site, all were excellent to feel the real Pakistan. This country is amazing to visit it’s very friendly genuinely and the Pakistani people love to talk to you and live a photo too. All in all Fahads service to 5++++ amazing and interesting man, and genuine and helps with anything snd everything.

We explored the South of pakistan with our incredible guide fahd who was very professional, patient & went above and beyond to make the tour perfect! We seen some amazing sites & had unforgettable experiences such as listening to sufi music at the shrine to the unique wahga border ceremony between India & Pakistan You also need a police escort in some places & fahd can also get you into some places you would struggle to get into on ur own so another reason why a good guide is so important for pakistan We felt extremely safe with fahd and the hotels he booked for us were of great quality I highly recommend booking your pakistan tour with fahd [rocket tourism] to get the best possible experience!
