5.00Whole family loved it. Met 2 other families and everyone mixed brilliantly. So much fun. Unexpectedly a highlight of our 10 day trip. Up there with KONG Protocol! Yohannes was super fun and showed us many tips. Do it!!!

5.00What a great cooking class! I opted for the Boqueria tour and class. Sonia was fantastic. She helped me navigate the market and provided some great tips and information regarding local ingredients and customs. Then the cooking class was so much fun and had a great pace to it. The instructions were easy and the recipes were delicious. It was very interactive and fun. I had such a wonderful time at my Barcelona cooking class and can’t wait to return with my daughter and take more classes with Sonia. She was fantastic. Thank you for such a wonderful experience during my time in Barcelona!

5.00I did the market tour and class with my family (wife and three daughters, ages 9, 14, 16), and we had a fun and memorable experience. The food we made with the other participants was delicious; we'll definitely be incorporating the recipes and techniques back at home.

5.00This was a really enjoyable activity. Starting with shopping in the market, we learned a little about the foods that are are sourced from Spain, visiting stalls where they sold produce, meats, spices, seafood, and cured meats. Our head chef and tour guide, Renata, knew many of the vendors and was very knowledgable about the market history. Once back at the kitchen, we prepared 4 dishes plus dessert. The main dish was meatballs in a sort of mole sauce with cuttlefish... who knew that you could mix cuttlefish with ground beef?!?!. Anyway, the dishes turned out well, and it was a pretty fun experience to cook and eat foods that were just a little different than what we eat at home. Renata was enthusiastic and encouraging, keeping our small group of 'chefs' on track, and kindly breaking out the wine as soon as we finished the prep work that involved knives. I'd recommend this to anyone.

5.00Our chef was Renata. She was delightful. She took us and another couple on a tour of the world famous Boqueria open air market right across the street to shop for the tapas were making that night, with lots of tidbits on the different vendors and products. Then she led our group (now 5) in preparing from scratch a leek and celery root soup, potatoes brava with aioli, meatballs and cuttlefish in a tomato sauce and tomato bread, with crema catalana (like creme brulee) for dessert. She gave us lots of tips on the preparation of the dish with several interesting techniques, and everything came out pretty damn good. She really was terrific and made sure everyone participated and had a good time.

5.00This experience was outstanding! My wife and I signed up for this class despite the fact that I am a novice in the kitchen. All fears were allayed as our instructors, Candida and Antonio, were both diplomatic and accommodating. By the end of the evening, we both had new skills and full tummies!! Highly recommend this class.
