The start of your journey through the UNESCO Heritage site will be the Southern Gate, the entrance to the foundations of the palace, its cellars, and one of the most prestigious areas, which today preserves the most hidden secrets of a local life within this city.
A corner where you will see majestic Roman mosaics from 305 AD, beautifully preserved as an indication of Split’s ancient roots and the grandeur of Emperor Diocletian’s time.

Ivana shared so much interesting history and was so patient in answering all of our questions. On top of that, she speaks five languages! It was a truly nice tour and we highly recommend Ivana! 😊

5.00Fantastic tour by Ivana! She was very knowledgeable and informative but delivered the information in an entertaining way. There are tons of walking tours in Split, but I really feel this was one of the best ones and seemed more engaging than other tours we went past. Ivana was great in providing recommendations for local restaurants, places to shop etc after the tour which we found very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone!
