  Pearl Trail were amazing. We booked them for private car hire around Sri Lanka. Everytime we had a new driver and everytime they were great. Prompt, organised and friendly and also affordable. Would hoghly reccomend choosing them for car hire needs

  Prebooking process was straightforward and communication from Pearltours top notch. Malinga spoke great English which greatly enhanced communication and a great day visiting the Kandy area.   I truly do not have enough words to describe how wonderful Malinga and Prabhash from PearlTrail Tours were. I visited Sri Lanka for 6 days in November 2025 and they completely exceeded every expectation I had. Before my trip, I created my own itinerary and sent it to Malinga. He not only customized it further but also added thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. He then sent me a detailed PDF itinerary outlining each day and the activities planned. Throughout my trip, I had many requests and changes. For example, I loved Ella and wanted to stay an extra night, but I also didn’t want to miss out on a safari in Yala. Malinga was incredibly flexible and made both happen seamlessly. I communicated with him every day, and he always made sure I was enjoying my trip and that I was seeing everything on my itinerary. He is extremely knowledgeable about Sri Lanka, from attractions to restaurants, and even helped me book a train ticket and find alternative routes since the Kandy to Ella train was sold out. Prabhash was hands down the best driver I could have ever asked for. My itinerary was very busy, yet he was always patient, positive, and a good sport. He constantly made sure I was comfortable, safe, and enjoying myself. On days when I was exhausted and napped in the car, he would make sure I was okay. He even surprised me with Milo on some days and snacks like mangoes and chips, which was so thoughtful. He is a confident and excellent driver and navigated the roads safely at all times. Although Prabhash didn’t speak much English, we still shared many stories, laughs, and great moments together. He accompanied me to certain places like temples and the safari, which made exploring feel much more comfortable as a solo traveler. He shared his local knowledge, took my photos (something that’s not always easy when traveling alone), and was always on time - I never once had to wait around for him. He is down to earth, mellow, kind, caring, and professional. At one point, I mentioned that I loved the yoga mats used during a class I did in Ella and asked if it was possible to buy one. Without hesitation, Prabhash brought me to a store in Galle that sold them. If I ever return, I would absolutely want Prabhash as my driver again. These two truly went above and beyond, and I have never experienced such incredible service. I would recommend Malinga and Prabhash from PearlTrail Tours a million times over to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

  After a less good experience with a driver from PearlTrail Tours who would take us to Galle they immediately contacted and provided excellent Service! We received a friendly and this time honest English speaking driver who took us safely to our destination. Very nice how they handled the problem and took immediate action. A reliable company that we will definitely use in the future and recommend to our family and friends!

  Each driver was very kind and polite. There was no problem such as picking time, route, safety and communication during the travel. We travelled very comfortable all of 4 days.

  I emailed them beforehand to discuss the itinerary. They answered my questions carefully, so I was able to start the trip with peace of mind. When I asked about the Minneriya safari, they introduced me to a affordable tour. They also suggested additional activities because there was time left in the itinerary I discussed. Mr. Malinga always drive safely. He was also very knowledgeable and helpful with various things during the trip.

  On my way back from India, I used transit to visit Sri Lanka for a day. Even though we only had time from morning to evening, our guide Chamil suggested a plan and we were able to go to various places in Colombo. The Red Mosque, Gangalama, Seema Malakaya, Lotus Tower, Seafood Restaurant, Independence Square, Old Parliament Building, Port City Beach, etc. were very resourceful and we had a very meaningful time. The sunset from Port City Beach was truly amazing. I also learned a lot about Sri Lanka and it was very interesting.   Mr. Rasika was polite. It is also relatively safe to drive. I prefer hands-free, though, because I'm always on the phone with one hand while driving. The price is expensive, but you can arrange your trip however you like.
