  The folks at TamaDive are a wealth of knowledge and fun. Instructor Miguel especially instills the level of confidence and understanding to make the feat of diving much more enjoyable and safe. The staff go above and beyond each day with planning and looking for fun opportunities, going as far as to pick me up from my rental each morning. It was an unforgettable experience

  Oh my gosh one of the best experiences of my life! My friend and I did the three day open water scuba diving course. We were initially apprehensive about it being a SSI and not PADI qualification but we soon realised it doesn’t matter as you can still dive anywhere in the world with a SSI qualification the same as the PADI. We had the amazing Miguel as our instructor and he was truly the best teacher. He was so informative and patient, a real pro. We did a total of two pool sessions and four ocean dives. We were so lucky to get to see a manta ray up close on our first dive and then even more amazing a whale shark on our second dive. Our last two dives consisted of seeing lots of reef shark, turtles, ocutpus and so much more. Could not recommend Tamadive more, truly the best experience.

  Cannot recommend TamaDive enough !! My friend and I chose it do get open water certified and loved it. At first we were unsure about SSI over PADI but it really doesn’t seem to matter as you can still use it anywhere in the world for diving. We had Miguel as our guide for the theory and the 4 dives. He was great - a complete pro and very reassuring. We also got super super lucky as on our first dive we got up close with a giant manta ray, closely followed by our second where we saw an amazing whale shark !! The other dives were great too as we saw lots of beautiful fish, octopus, turtles etc. big thank you to the whole team for a wonderful experience 🫶

  Remo and his team were absolutely phenomenal! We all were able to dive even with full range of skills & experiences. Two of our teenagers got certified and many thanks to Remo who was a calming, intelligent and supportive instructor. The rest of the crew was so fun & positive energy all around! Captain was safe and hyper alert too- we all felt safe and had a phenomenal experience.

  I attended Tama’s 3 day open water diver course and could not have wished for a better experience. The combination of an extremely professional team, already super responsive and readily available to answer any question weeks before the course even started, coupled with a fun and lively spirit, made the three days unforgettable. A special thank you to Remo, one of the founders of Tama, and George a master diver assisting throughout the course, for sharing both your enthusiasm and knowledge! There was one tasks that I really struggled with and Remo, with an incredibly patient and positive attitude, helped me overcome my fears and successfully complete every task of the course. I would highly recommend completing any diving course with Tama dive and hope to get the chance to complete more myself!

  Had an amazing experience getting my PADI open water certification with Tamadive. My instructor Franco was very knowledgeable and humorous which was great for the long days and excess information I was absorbing over the course of three days. I learned so much and couldn't have asked for a better learning experience, I look forward to moving onto my Advanced PADI course and feel very motivated around learning more thanks to my experience at Tama. They were very friendly and made sure that along with learning about the logistics of safety and emergency situations that you were able to enjoy the sea life and explore the waters of the Santa Catalina Islands. Saw reef sharks, turtles (3!), octopus, fish, fish, fish, heard and saw whales, and beautiful sea anemones. 10/10 experience and would recommend anyone just diving for the day or getting certified to check them out. :)

  I did the open water diver course with Remo as the instructor and one other diver buddy whom I met on the first day. I cannot imagine it could've gone better. Remo is professional, thorough, fun and compassionate - which was very important as both me and my buddy remembered having some subtle panic feelings the first time we did a Discover Scube dive. The shop had high standards in terms of equipment and staff, based on what I was able to observe, as we went diving on a boat with some other groups too. Boat was fun and the diving sites were full of fish and interesting landscape. We even got an experience in diving in a mild current on one of the dives. Would definitely do more diving with them if I'm back in the area.

  I am so fortunate to have picked Tamadive to facilitate and teach my PADI open water certification. Remo was very knowledgeable and created a learning environment that was patient and supportive. I felt like I could ask any question I had. I would recommend for anybody travelling Costa Rica to make a stop in Tamarindo and experience scuba diving with the Tamadive team. After I completed my certification, I booked 2 more dive days with the Tamadive team and both days were incredible. Jose and Caspar were great dive guides and did everything to ensure that we had a great experience. I can't wait to dive again with the Tamadive team.
