St Barts is known as the Jewel of the Caribbean and you'll find out why when you sail there from St Maarten. You'll have free time to explore St Barts independently, take a guided tour, go shopping or just relax on one of the island's pristine beaches. St Barts is just a 60 minute ferry ride from St Maarten's Pelican Marina. Departing Simpson Bay, you'll arrive in Gustavia Harbor, the hub of activity in St Barts. Sidewalk cafes offer crepes and croissants for breakfast, car rentals meet the boat, the taxi stand is a few feet away, and boutiques are open for business. It is advisable to have a rental car or taxi arranged before arrival in St Barts. During the December to March high season, taxis are limited. The exceptional island of St Barts has white sandy beaches, great snorkeling locations, great restaurants and a unique shell museum. It's a day guaranteed to entertain, crammed with sights and delights! Enjoy lunch at a local burger shack, or go for fine dining at one of the exclusive beach side hotels. Many of the shops in Gustavia may close over the lunchtime period, so it's recommended to go shopping in the morning. Check-in for the boat is at 3:45pm for the 4:00pm departure. Arrive back to Pelican Marina at approximately 4:45pm.

2.00I’m a solo traveler and chef, and I was really excited to visit Saint Barthélemy. Unfortunately, my experience getting there and the overall visit did not meet my expectations. The boat ride over was extremely rough and honestly traumatic. The waves were intense, many people got sick, and I ended up vomiting—which is something I never do. Even after arriving, I felt physically unwell for quite some time. Once on the island, things didn’t improve much. Transportation was very expensive, and communication was difficult at times. I shared a taxi to Sea Gypsy, only to be told there was no reservation—even though the place appeared empty. I then had to find another taxi and was charged $50 just to get back to Gustavia. I ended up sitting by the harbor just trying to calm my nerves instead of enjoying the island. While the boat crew and captain were kind and professional, I do feel there should be better communication about sea conditions before departure. Overall, I didn’t feel very welcomed, and this is not a trip I would choose to do again. I’d strongly recommend others be prepared for rough seas and plan transportation in advance if visiting.

5.00The crossing from St Maarten to St Bart's was quite rough, I would highly recommend motion sickness pills. Return trip was quite smooth

5.00Otherwise Captain Mikey and his crew did an excellent job taking care of us on our day trip to St Barths. Because we were going into the prevailing winds on the way out the ride was very rough and some people got sick. On the way back with the wind at our back it was much much smoother, although those same people got sick again. However, St Barts is not worth visiting on a day trip. Not enough time to do anything besides walk around the town, window shopping at the ludicrously expensive stores, and stopping for lunch at a wonderful French restaurant, which was almost as good as all the delightful French restaurants we enjoy on French Saint Martin. Upon our return, we experience the horrible traffic of Dutch Sint Maarten at rush hour.

5.00The trip to St Barts was run by a well organized , knowledgeable and friendly crew. St Barts was a wonderful small town to wander through while nearby shell beach provided a quiet and beautiful place to visit for a swim.

3.00The entire process on-line was great. The process of finding the location where the boat was to leave was not so good. Once we arrived via taxi, there were no signs on where to go. There were a lot of people looking also. Not user friendly.
