This was a great trip, our guide was very knowledgeable about the Mayans and shared stories that made the trip even more enjoyable. Floating through the caves was so peaceful and beautiful.

A really magical experience- especially because there was no one else in the cave aside from the 2 of us and our awesome guide- Vida. We went at 11.30am so maybe just between the morning and afternoon tours. A nice 10 minute walk through the forest to the caves. The water was crystal clear and the tubes very comfortable as Vida guided us through the cave and then we floated back out. Definitely leave time to drive the mile or so around the corner to the blue hole. Nice clear swimming hole with curious little fish.

This was a unique and relaxing trip! We had a great guide (Ronnie) and we learned a lot about the history of the cave as we enjoyed the cool underground river in the midst of the heat that was happening outside.

Vida was a great guide who shared history of the Maya people and cave formations as we floated along. He made sure our every need was met. The best part was turning off our headlamps and floating in total serene darkness for a few minutes. If this is not your thing, you can just turn back on your headlamp. Price includes admission to the St Herman’s Blue Hole cenote a mile up the road for a dip after your tour. Remember to tip your guide!
