The Rainforest Tour lets you escape to a tropical wonderland in the Caribbean and see parts of the island others miss. We meet you at the cruise ship dock or your hotel and then we give you a short sightseeing tour of our capital city, Basseterre, showing you the highlight of the town. We then head out westward along the Caribbean coastline passing through little villages on the way to the rainforest.
Romney Manor
First, we go to Romney Manor, which is nestled in the rainforest and is the home of Samuel Jefferson, the great, great, great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson the third President of the United States.

3.00Charlestown- Tour was hiking along a RainForest side of an old volcano . Good local guide described tropical plants like cinnamon- very much a botanist tour...No Waterfalls here, only an old stone bridge. This is not the rich beautiful tropical forest I was expecting. I've hiked harder and saw more interesting things in USA- Ohio Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

5.00This was a beautiful tour with a very knowledgeable and unforgettable guide. He showed us amazing sites and kept pace with us for the hiking portion. He was able to mix his life stories in with the facts of nature which gave great visuals in my mind. The person who transported us was also very nice and knowledgeable and gave great facts about the parts of the island we passed and the history.Would highly recommend.

5.00We had the best guide, Kelvin who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the rainforest always eager to teach us and point out the medicinal properties of all of the different varieties of foliage. This was no cookie cutter tour by any means I’d recommend it with 100% confidence just be sure to wear the proper shoes (hiking) and not sandals

5.00We had a great experience in the rain forest with our guide Kelvin. He had grown up in the forest using it as his playground. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was second to none and our sense of taste, smell and sight came to life. We did the easy trail but be warned, you will need to were correct footwear (trainers) and you will need to have a reasonable fitness level as at one point you have to climb up a hillside using a rope and footholds that can be slippery.

5.00We had the most amazing day with Kevin. We were picked up from Port Zante and were given a ride with great history information about the island along the way. We then met Kevin (Kelvin) at the rainforest who gave us an amazing private tour of the island and so much interesting information we would never have received from a large group tour. We saw tons of monkeys and so many interesting tree, plants and so much more. We then got to have the most amazing smoothie there and did a rum tasting which were both excellent and highly recommend!! Book with him you will not regret it!

5.00We did the rainforest tour and it was excellent. There was somebody waiting for us in port when we docked and we were promptly taken to a very comfortable car for our drive to the rainforest. Here we were met by Kelvin who was our rainforest tour guide. Kelvin was so knowledgable and the whole tour was magnificent. It was a real pleasure to be guided by someone who knew so much - we were even treated to fresh almonds, straight from the pod! Afterwards, we were taken to a small bar where we had tasty complimentary snacks and a drink, before being driven back to the cruise port in PLENTY of time to re-board the ship before it left the island. A wonderful excursion. If we are ever lucky enough to be back in St Kitts, we will use Island Paradise Tours again for sure! Thanks everyone - we had such a great day!
