  We always check out breweries and brew pubs, when we travel. Caribbean Brewing Beer is probably the best beer I’ve ever had, while traveling and the Dutch Blonde Beach Bar and Restaurant, which is owned and run by the same hands on proprietor, has the best ocean view I’ve ever experienced from a restaurant in the Caribbean. All the beers I tasted, were great and I can see why their Dutch Blonde beer has received top award status. I also really liked the lager and the stout(I’m not a stout or lager drinker usually). The service was great and the owner makes you feel like part of the family. The menu is extensive and creative and all on our party enjoyed their food including the special pancakes. The owner’s personal story of the creation of his businesses (brewery, restaurant and others) was awe inspiring. Anyway, if you have the opportunity to visit St. Maarten, be sure to drink some Caribbean Brewing beer and stay for a tasty lunch and beautiful views from the oceanfront Dutch Blonde Bar and Restaurant on the boardwalk.

  Short walk from Port. We spent a great 1-1/2 hours with Dimitri drinking beer, learning the history of the brewery and discussing life in general. So glad we did this!

  We visited the brewing through an excursion through virgin voyages and by our exceeded our expectations! Dimitri hosted us and was so friendly personable, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the brewing tour and lunch at their restaurant.

  We booked the Philipsburg, St. Martin Brewery & Beach Tour through Celebrity Cruise Line and it was by far the worst excursion we have ever taken. The tour description did not match reality at all. From the start, everything was disorganized. We were given no information, the bus was missing, and we were taken to what looked like a rusty warehouse with no signage. Staff openly discussed staffing problems in front of guests using unprofessional language. The “brewery” was dirty, dark, humid, and completely unsanitary. We climbed dusty stairs past filthy bathrooms and entered a messy bar area with dirty floors, empty bottles everywhere, and no proper sink or detergent to wash glasses. Staff handled glassware with dirty hands, and one employee drank beer while talking to us. There was no real brewery tour, no explanation of the brewing process, and no structured tasting — just a few beers poured casually. Because of the poor hygiene, I refused to taste anything. My husband tried two sips. When we asked about the beach portion, we were told there was a delay and pickup time had changed. At that point, we chose to leave the tour entirely. This experience was shocking and disappointing, especially for a $168 per person excursion.   Great personable guide, island vibes, and near cruise port. Affordable and truly unlimited tasty beers with 3 to expierence. Stout and IPA were the best beers! Stout more like a barleywine, which I love.

  Dimitri was a great host and very knowledgeable about the history and current operations of the brewery. Dimitri explained the equipment and process of brewing to all of us. I was part of a small group of 10 in the tasting room and was treated to their 3 core beers (full size pour) that were all very good. For cruisers, this is a short 5 minute walk from the port exit and worth the walk. Highly recommended for a quick easy excursion.

  We all had a great time learning how this small brewery came into existence and sampling their three beers. All led by Demetris who was really great. Small breweries face a struggle wherever they are and this one deserved the patronage from Celebrity. We were very interested in how the beer was made. Found it was totally organic as we could see from our view point of the vats. Good luck to this company. Wish you all the best.

  We forgot to set time with them, but they were welcoming and understanding nonetheless. We were given two options, wait to lrepare tbe tour, or do the beer tasting in their restaurant. We chose the second one, the experience was way better than the tour could have been. The restaurant had an awesome view of the beach and very friendly waiters.

  I more than enjoyed my time at Caribbean Brewing Company with our wonderful host, Sunil. We came to learn more about how the company started and what led to the tasty craft beer we were drinking. After many beers (they are, by the way, unlimited), we went down to the tank to get a closer look at all the equipment and had the opportunity to drink directly from the source, all while learning more about the process of making beer. Would recommend this tour to all beer lovers.
