Initially, I booked this tour because of the hotel pickup & drop off. I also was drawn to the length of time at each location in the trip description. I received a message from Happy Riviera Tours one day before my trip to confirm the meeting location. When I questioned why they couldn’t come to my hotel, they stated that it wasn’t accessible. I didn’t understand why since my taxi driver from the airport was able to take side streets to get me to my hotel. The hotel they had me to walk to wasn’t far but it was slightly inconvenient because I wasn’t familiar with the area and I felt I had to get up very earlier and rush through my breakfast in order to be there for 7:40am. Now for the good remarks. Mimi our driver arrived right on time at the meeting spot. She was VERY welcoming and personable. She got out of the van, introduced herself, shook my hand and opened & closed my car door. I was really impressed with her kindness, professionalism and knowledge of the South of France. Mimi and the company went out of their way to find a guest that didn’t show up. They went to two locations. I honestly felt they went above & beyond to locate that woman. Unfortunately, they were not successful in finding her. I thought it was commendable that they cared so much for this person that booked the tour. If I am being honest, I would have preferred if we would have just left right away. There were only 3 of us in the van which usually holds 8 people. The van was clean, we had lots of space with great airconditioning. There’s a lot of winding roads and they are very narrow. So those that get motion sickness might want to take a graval pill prior to the trip. If you are afraid of heights, maybe close your eyes or take a nap. Mimi is an excellent driver so there is no need to worry. She was always focused on the road & our safety. We didn’t have 6 hours at St. Tropez as advertised in the tour description online. We drove from Nice to Sainte-Maxime and took a 15-20 min. ferry ride to St. Tropez. I believe the travel time was factored into the 6 hours. Mimi explained that we would be on our own there and she would find us at the Port. Her instructions were clear & easy to follow. She had a list of recommendations for things to see and places to eat at each stop. I really appreciated the information. However, once at St. Tropez, I spent a good portion of the time searching for the recommended spots. I think the tour company should consider giving people a map. I think we had about a total of 3-3.5 hours at St. Tropez. I love to take lots of photos. I personally felt like I needed at least 4 hours at St. Tropez because I didn’t have time to sit and relax to eat lunch. In the time given, I took lots of photos at the Port & beach m. I was able to see the Citadel of Saint-Tropez and walked past some shops & restaurants. I bought a yummy croissant from the recommended spot Cedric Grolet & Airlette. One crossaint cost 4 euro (which is reasonable for the size) and one tiny bottle of water that was grotesquely overpriced! I paid a total of 15 euros. The crossaint was awesome. I never questioned the price of the water because I was so hot from touring the Citadel. The larger desserts were priced at 45 euros & the smaller ones were 18 euros. I also stopped for lunch at the recommended restaurant La Petite Plage Saint-Tropez. I only went there because the other restaurant they recommended on the list was very expensive. The ambiance at La Petite Plage is stunning. I didn’t love the flavour of my burger at all. The fries were great. The non-alcoholic lychee drink was AMAZING! My food cost 30 euro and my non-alcoholic drink was 14 euro for a total of 44 euros. With tip, I paid 49 euros for lunch. Honestly, I saw other restaurants that looked like they had great food for a lot less money. I would recommend eating at another restaurant and maybe stopping by La Petite Plage for their yummy drinks. Table next to me for dessert and it looked really good. Service was good & they were able to get my order & bring me my food in under 30 minutes which I appreciated. I think we had about 1-1.5 hours at Port Grimaud. I felt like that was plenty of time. Not much to see at Port Grimaud, just some pretty architecture, boats & the beach. You literally need maximum 15-20 minutes to see it all. There was plenty of time to explore and swim. Port Grimaud gave me some mini vibes of Vence with the bridges & boats. You can rent a boat & drive it yourself for probably 35 euro 🤷‍♀️. Not much to do there honestly. Mainly a nice sandy beach stop. They had some sun beds, seating area and bar right on the public beach which is cool. Overall, I had a wonderful day! Thank you 😊 I was satisfied with my trip. My only recommendation is to give guest a map and more time in St. Tropez. I think 4 hours would have been perfect and 4.5 even better because I didn’t have time to shop or to see the art gallery.

Absolutely brilliant, I loved every part of the tour. Best tour I have ever done!! It was definitely our guide Mario, who made the tour such a huge success. He could not do enough for the group and his knowledge of Nice and the surrounding areas was very impressive. Mario has a wonderful sense of humour and kept us laughing throughout the tour and as a local he knew all the best spots to take us to. The tour would not have been the same without Mario as our guide. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family.

  • Good but port Grimaud is meh.

Pick up from hotel then about 90 min drive to St Maxine where you take a 15 min ferry to the port of St tropez. Our guide Mimi was great. Tuesday St Tropez has a market and it’s amazing make sure you book that day! You only get a few hours in St tropez which is nice but I wish the tour was longer there is so much to see and do. We had lunch at Senequier and then hiked to the view point, followed by getting lost in the streets. Afterwards, we drove to see the beach 30 mins only. The drove to Port Grimaud. Honestly it was very hot and this was my least fave part. It’s a little underwhelming and wasn’t much to see. I would have rather spent the extra hour in St Tropez.

  • Mario was the best guide ever!!!

This was such an incredible tour!! Our guide was Mario and he was so knowledgeable and funny. He kept the entire tour lively and made sure everyone was comfortable and got to see what they wanted. He also took the sweetest videos of us so we’d have these memories to cherish forever. 10/10 recommend!!

I would give Mario 10 stars if I could… he was AMAZING!!! Not only did he make recommendations about what we should see, but he was accommodating to our needs and wants as well. He recommended a wonderful place for my husband and I to have lunch in St. Tropez and provided lots of information about the region on the drive. We never felt rushed and had the best day. He also surprised us with a video of our tour group that he filmed throughout the day!
