Hear the stories of immigrants who passed through Ellis Island and learn about the creation and symbolism of the Statue of Liberty.
On this guided tour, your expert New Yorker will get your reserve-line ferry tickets and ride with you to Liberty Island and afterward, if you select our Comprehensive Tour, to Ellis Island for a tour of the landmarks around the island, such as the wall of honour. Once the tour ends, the exploration doesn't stop there as you can continue inside the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration to explore its multiple floors at your own pace. An audio guide is included to help. You’ll also have time to visit the Statue of Liberty Museum as your guide prepares you for what you’ll see inside.
Our Liberty Express option offers a 2 hour guided tour across the water, and on Liberty Island, where you'll learn all about the Statue of Liberty and our expert guide will also give you facts and tips if you wanted to visit the museum on your own after the tour.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. The tour departs promptly and if late, you will NOT be able to catch up and will miss the tour. There are no refunds for missing the tour.
Please note the earliest time tour will have the least wait. Later tours will encounter longer wait times.
Your ferry ticket includes access to both islands, although for afternoon tours, there may not be enough time to visit Ellis Island.
Food available for purchase on the ferry, at the Statue of Liberty, and on Ellis Island
Operates in all weather conditions. Please dress appropriately.
Security screening will take place prior to entering the ferry. Visitors to the park are required to undergo airport-style security screening.
Photographs are permitted, but tripods and monopods are prohibited.
Children 3 and under free with paid adult ticket.
Guides are wearing orange hats AND/OR blue shirts or jackets.
Pedestal and crown access are not included in your tour. Guided tours are not allowed in the pedestal or crown at the Statue of Liberty

5.00Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The guide Dan, was a good tour guide & has a unique comical & witty way of expressing himself, which made the tour & experience, even more entertaining. My mom is a 95 year old woman who has resided in this state & country for a little over 50 years & hasn’t ever been to the Statue Of Liberty since she got here & got her citizenship. Her & I are both glad she got to FINALLY scratch off this particular “places to visit”, on her bucket list. Both my mom & I were also blown away by the sincere & thoughtful actions of EVERYONE there. From the guide, to the people within our tour group, to the people who were the employees working for the security check, to the employees working for the ferries, including the Captain too. Even the people within our immediate area were very thoughtful & respectful to my mother & made sure she was able to sit both on the way over & back. Even the gentleman working for the locker storage unit area was very helpful, kind & comical during my interaction with him. I most definitely recommend the human tour guide over any A.I. headphone alternative anyday. And for those who think that ALL New Yorkers are rude & inconsiderate, think again & give this particular tour a chance & you will see for yourselves. I had a good time & experience while there, but most importantly, my mom also did & was FiNALLY able to scratch this one place to go, off her bucket list. A sincere THANKS goes out to ALL for making that experience a solid & positive one for us all.

5.00I did the Statue of Liberty tour with Jorge, and it was incredible. He’s so passionate about the history and told the story in a way that really stuck with me. His guidance was spot-on the whole time, and he even took some amazing photos for me. Jorge was polite, kind, and super easy to talk to, he made sure I felt comfortable the whole way through. For me, it wasn’t just a tour; it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ll never forget.
