Join our expert guide on a fascinating tour of Steim farm, with its rich history, dating back to the viking age. You will meet our adorable alpacas and muscovy ducks. You might even catch a glimpse of the friendly boar goats grazing in lush pastures above, or the traditional long wooled sheep and national fjord horses on neighbouring farms. Steim

Our friendly guide will show you around Steim farm. We will walk around the farm while talking about the farm life before and now. Steim is a running farm, and everything you will see is authentic. We will show you the fields and talk about the process from green grass to animal feed. We will show you our organic vegetable garden where you can taste some strawberries. Then we will visit the barn and the animal stables. Sometimes our ducks are nesting in the stable. And of course you will meet the animals! The alpacas and ducks will be happy to see you. The goats will be grassing in the pastures above. The norwegian fjord horse and the traditional long wooled sheep can often be seen from the farm. If you have selected a picnic-basket, you can enjoy this from our orchard with views of Vik and the fjord. For children there will be a few surprises.

Vik centre with its picturesque old town . Vikøyri is the administrative center of the municipality of Vik in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located at the mouth of the Vikja river on the south shore of the Sognefjorden, roughly near the midpoint of Norway's longest fjord. From our farm you will get a good overview of the village.

We turned up unannounced interrupting Gaute's day, but he dropped everything to provide a wonderful tour of the farm. We were so lucky with the weather which was sunny and bright allowing for the most spectacular views over Vik from the farm. Gaute shares interesting funny stories about the area and the farm. We absolutely loved meeting the chickens (hi Michael!), touring the beautiful garden and of course meeting the alpacas - the 'pretty' one was our favourite!! A true highlight of our trip, we'd love to return!

Talk about a VIP experience. Our guide and new friend Elin picked us up at the cruise ship dock and whisked us off to the Steim Farm. Elin was personable, knowledgeable, and super into her life on the farm. With the views of the fjords and the incredible landscape, how could you not love it. Elin provided a lot of detail about the farm, what they do there on a daily basis and specifics on the alpacas. The weather was amazing and the tour was top notch. We visited with the alpaca and fed them from our hands. One of the babies had an affection for my shirt and nibbled on my sleeve and buttons. If I had a tee shirt, it would have been his to eat! We also visited with the geese and fed them as well; although they were not as docile! The landscape was amazing. I can understand why people would live in this idyllic little village. Great job by Elin, we loved our private tour!

Fantastic place with beautiful views. We had a nice round on the farm with berry picking and animal visits. The farm girl was a fancy! Thanks for us 😄 Hilsen, Thea, Stian, Alma, Julie and Freya

Were there on a beautiful sunlit day on May 13. Very nice people, nice tour of their entire farm. Were just of the week 2 alpaca born young, so sweet. Have they all fed nice chunks by hand, and got wool with them. The alpacas had just been shaved a few days ago and they don’t know exactly what to do with the wok. That's how young the company is. The alpaca farm is still in its infancy but will certainly be a nice attraction, hopefully not too commercial. Highly recommended , both for adults and with children.
Farm visit is fantastic! We loved it!

Our family booked a tour of the farm and it was fantastic! On vacation from the United States, first time in Norway. So glad we visited this town as well as this farm. We have four adults, a toddler and an infant. We loved seeing the animals, feeding them, walking around the farm, and seeing the amazing views above the town of Vik. Wow! We will be back!

A super great trip when we were in Vik. The animals let us feed and pet them. The farm has many great projects. As for raspberry season, too. Great. In addition, we were picked up by the nice lady in front of the tourist information. One can only wish him great success with your next project the Cafe.
