First we stop to admire the views over the Forth Bridges from South Queensferry before continuing to Linlithgow Palace with its rich and varied history.
Then we take the 'Royal Route' to Stirling Castle and explore the ancient royal seat of Scotland. Learn the varied history of the Stuart Royals and the great battles of the middle-ages that were fought nearby.
Travel on to the National Park and explore the idyllic Loch Lomond with its calm waters that make way to dramatic highland scenery. Visit the conservation village of Luss and hear the local stories from hundreds of years of tradition.
The private tour is conduced in our luxury Mercedes minivans that comfortably accommodate up to 6 passengers. Your passionate Driver-guide will bring the day to live with stories and living history and will personally escort you to all monuments and locations.

5.00We had a quick trip to Scotland and wanted to maximize the experience so we booked a private tour with Experienced Tours. Before the trip, Experienced Tours contacted us and asked if there was anything we especially wanted to see, purchased tickets, and made reservations. We did 2 tours with Experienced Tours. On the days of the tours, Calais picked us up at the hotel and chauffeured us in their minivan. Calais was knowledgeable and escorted us through the castles and places visited. He told some stories of the history and pointed out things that we would have missed thereby enriching our experiences. Calais also scheduled the day so we went to Stirling Castle first avoiding most of the crowd and making it a more personal experience. Also, we are from the U.S. and are not used to driving on the left side of narrow roads with roundabouts. Being chauffeured removed the stress of us driving, trying to figure out directions, parking, and local traffic laws.

5.00Experienced tours, And Sandy in particular made for a wonderful day of exploring Sterling Castle, Callander, and the surrounding lovely areas of Scotland. They were very clear on their instructions, prompt on their pick up and knowledgeable of the areas. Not to mention friendly and very pleasant to spend the day with. I have no hesitation recommending their services to others.

5.00This tour was thoroughly enjoyed by the four of us and exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Sandy, went out of his way to make sure we saw the things that were most important to us (the Highland Cows and many sheep) I would highly recommend it to any group that desires a personalized tour with a very knowledgeable guide.

5.00We really enjoyed the coordination by Sandy of Experienced Tours and the tour with Ben Walace. We enjoyed our full day family outing in the private Mercedes van. We were able to enjoy a view Edinburgh from Nelson Monument, the Kelpies, the Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle, enjoyed great Scottish lunch at the Oak Tree pub, walking Loch Lomond, and finally touring Glengoyne Distillery. So many wonderful places to experience in one day.

5.00Such a nice tour lady - and beautiful Mercedes van to ride in. Sterling caste was cool and lots is costumes. The loch was pretty to see and we ate some good Scottish food.

5.00Amazing private tour. Our tour guide Debbie, was so nice, and knowledgeable about the sites. She really took a great tour to another level with her personality and professionalism! The minivan was clean and comfortable and a great alternative to bus/mini bus crowds. Would highly recommend.

5.00Our guide was Rob who was absolutely phenomenal. We were traveling with a newborn baby and a 3 year old toddler who was proving difficult straight from the go when Rob arrived to pick us up. He was very patient and accommodating while we got settled into the van. As we drove out to Stirling Castle, Rob was full of knowledge of Scotland and its history, which was a great way to set the stage for our exploration of the castle. The parking was completely full, so Rob dropped us off at the entrance and gave us some tips on where to go once inside to get the best experience. Then he took us to a great restaurant called The Oak on our way to Loch Lomond. This was some of the best food we had in Scotland, and it was decently affordable. Next on our wishlist was to see some Scottish Highland cows, and Rob knew just the spot. We got to hand feed and take pictures with a couple cows and grab some souvenirs at the farmstand's shop. On our way back, we wanted to grab some hard to find whisky to take home, and Rob knew just the shop that could help us along the way. This was a great way to explore a bit of Scotland outside the main city area, and it was so pleasant to have a driver to handle all the logistics rather than renting a car to do it ourselves. Plus Rob was so knowledgable and friendly, it was the icing on the cake!

5.00This may have been the best tour I’ve ever been on!! I don’t have enough words to describe how fantastic Laura was! We came as strangers but truly left as friends. My group of four laughed our way through South Queensferry, Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, and everywhere in between. Laura made time to go above and beyond our expectations!! We were able to make stops that we hadn’t expected or known to make, like feeding Highland Coos and the Kelpies. Her tour was so personalized and she laughed right along with us. This will be our first of hopefully many, many trips to Scotland, and I know exactly who I’m reaching out to when I return. Thank you, Experienced Tours and Laura, for the best tour ever!!!
