If you want to get the proper introduction to Sweden, this is the tour for you! Using food as the tool for exploring, we introduce you to what the land of ABBA and VOLVO is all about and take you on an exciting walking tour that highlights the foods that are and have been prolific in making Sweden one of the happiest countries in the world. Come taste the meatballs and fish soups that have got international acclaim, indulge in Swedish chocolate that is being served at Royal weddings and be guaranteed to taste something you have never tasted before… smoked liquorice!
The tour last for 4 hours over 7 individual stops. The total walking distance is 2 miles (3.5km) and the tastings make up a full meal.

5.00Excellent!! Theresa was very knowledgeable and lovely to talk with. There was a wonderful variety of delicious high quality food that represented traditional Swedish cuisine. We have been on many food tours and this was one of the best!! You will be stuffed at the end!!!

5.00We did the Nordic Experience whilst on our honeymoon and it was SO much fun! Our guide Kirsten was such a pleasure to spend time with, and she even brought us by an amazing caramel shop when I told her how much my daughter loved caramels. There was a large selection of foods, many of which I would have never thought to try outside of a food tour. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00Our guide, Cotton, was fabulous. On time, polite, knowledgeable, and courteous. He clearly explained Swedish food and cuisine, as well as some of local food traditions and customs. The tour covered all the major unique Swedish foods. Very enjoyable afternoon!!
Tour cancelled without proper communication

1.00We had a very disappointing experience with this food tour. On the day itself, we received multiple reports via both Tripadvisor and Viator that the tour would continue as normal. The status also remained “confirmed” in the app, which was reason for us to trust that everything went according to plan. We were neatly on time at the agreed location, together with other participants. Unfortunately, no tour guide appeared. After contacting the helpdesk, it appeared that the tour had been cancelled. We were told we could rebook or get our money back. Later it turned out that an email had been sent a few hours beforehand about the cancellation. However, we missed this one, precisely because all other communication channels indicated that the tour was going ahead and we even received reminders. This is a clear case of poor and inconsistent communication. It is unacceptable for a tour to remain as “confirmed” when it has already been cancelled. Because of this we wasted time and we were on location for nothing. We therefore do not recommend this tour unless the organization significantly improves their communication.

5.00My friends and I decided to check out the local good in Sweden. Our guide, Faizel, was very knowledgeable about not only local good but we also got interesting insight into Sweden as well as the countries history of conservation, architecture and governance. We especially liked the stop at Kajsas Fisk, so much so that we returned another day. Similarly, our final stop for fika at Fika & Wine in Gamla Stan added another place to re-visit. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in food but also Stockholm in general!

5.00Cotton Bloom was really nice and very informative. He explained very well the different types of food, their origins and some nuances in how it might be prepared differently from one place to another. He shared about Swedish culture and Stockholm history too. We recommend him as a guide!

5.00At first I thought I lost something in translation, but nope. Our tour guide's name was Cotton. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the history of Stockholm and the food we ate. Although I do not eat seafood, I had a great time walking around and learning about the traditional food in Sweden. I was able to enjoy the meatballs and cinnamon bun.
