Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change, from those seen on the product page.
Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, we offer a walking tour instead on those days.
When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery remain open.

Due to driver's legal working hours restrictions, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road, and is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.
During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route.
St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.

Windsor Castle
Your coach will leave from the designated meeting point at 8am sharp – make sure you’re there minimum 15 minutes before to check in! The first stop of your adventure will be the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle, Windsor Castle, where you will arrive at approximately 9:30am. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and a striking round tower, it's easy to see why Windsor Castle is King favourite weekend residence. Enjoy wandering through the lavish State Apartments - home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and many more - and visit the beautiful St. George's Chapel, the final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII and the wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!
St. George's Chapel
Step inside St George’s Chapel, located on the sprawling grounds, where notorious King Henry VIII and his favourite wife, Jane Seymour, are buried, as are Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. St. George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in England. It has been the setting for many royal weddings and is the burial place of ten sovereigns. The Chapel is dedicated to the patron saint of the Order of the Garter. Britain's highest Order of Chivalry. *St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. These occur at the following times: 08:30 – Holy Communion 10:45 – Mattins and Sermon 11:45 – Sung Eucharist 17:15 – Evensong

5.00A great day. We could have done with an extra half hour at Windsor but still a brilliant day. Thanks to Bruce, our tour guide, and Elvio, our bus driver. I particularly liked how he made sure we knew what we were doing and advice on the best available things to do. And they even provided sunshine!

5.00This was an amazing tour. Definitely recommended. Bruce was an amazing tour guide. He was informative and funny that makes our trip more enjoyable. Though we have only short time in Windsor Castle, he gave tips on how to maximize our time inside. And thanks to our driver Elveo for driving safely.

5.00Pauly and Keith made this an outstanding trip! Pauly was an excellent tour guide, keeping us entertained and informed during the long trips between stops. All tickets and admissions were taken care of ahead of time, making one less thing we had to think about before visiting each site. Pauly was warm, funny and extremely helpful. He provided great information that extended beyond the trip, including recommendations of other places to visit, navigation tips once back in London and dinner options after the tour ended. Something to note (not any fault of the tour company) -- we did have to wait a while to get into and out of Windsor Castle but those due to the changing of the guard and security protocols. But it was worth it just to see the changing of the guard.
