Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change, from those seen on the product page.
Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, we offer a walking tour instead on those days.
When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery remain open.

Due to driver's legal working hours restrictions, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road, and is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.
During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route.
St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.

Toilet is available on the bus.
On 21st December 2025, this tour will not be visiting Stonehenge due to the Winter Solstice. Guests will have extended time in Bath and Windsor.

Windsor Castle
Your coach will leave from the designated meeting point at 8am sharp – make sure you’re there minimum 15 minutes before to check in! The first stop of your adventure will be the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle, Windsor Castle, where you will arrive at approximately 9:30am. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and a striking round tower, it's easy to see why Windsor Castle is King favourite weekend residence. Enjoy wandering through the lavish State Apartments - home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and many more - and visit the beautiful St. George's Chapel, the final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII and the wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!
St. George's Chapel
Step inside St George’s Chapel, located on the sprawling grounds, where notorious King Henry VIII and his favourite wife, Jane Seymour, are buried, as are Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. St. George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in England. It has been the setting for many royal weddings and is the burial place of ten sovereigns. The Chapel is dedicated to the patron saint of the Order of the Garter. Britain's highest Order of Chivalry. *St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. These occur at the following times: 08:30 – Holy Communion 10:45 – Mattins and Sermon 11:45 – Sung Eucharist 17:15 – Evensong

3.00Tour guide and Driver were great! The only saddening part was that we paid for premium seat and did not get the front seat even when we were before time. Our experience was same as other folks who dodn pay premium.

5.00Josh and Sokol were great team! They made sure everything is on time. Josh is very knowledgeable and kind. He speaks bilingual (English and Spanish) during the tour which was amazing! Sokol is a good and safe driver. He is also very kind to us. Trip is recommended to all!

3.00This tour is a lot to cram into one day, so have your expectations set. You’ll only have 1-2 hours at each location. At Windsor, you will see the State Rooms which would be good to know how long a normal walking pace through them will take. Otherwise you zip through it not knowing how much content you will see and spend most of the time trying to figure out what the timing will be to get back to the bus in time not knowing what is left to see in front of you. There’s a lovely cafe and ample time at Stonehenge to eat there instead of eating earlier at Windsor. (Our tour was Windsor first, then Stonehenge, and finally Bath.) By far, you’ll want the most time in Bath. We had less than two hours to go through the museum and walk around the town. This tour gets all three done, but just know it will be fast at the locations. Unfortunately, our tour ended up being multi lingual, and the guide sounded like an auctioneer trying to relay all the information on the points of interest fast enough as we’d drive or walk by. This was extremely distracting. This increases the time standing at the point of interest and reduces the time for the tour you are walking to. Also, those that don’t speak the language the guide is speaking in that moment turn and talk in another language to their friends. It was extremely distracting and made the tour less enjoyable. It would be best if that possibility is mentioned up front.

5.00This tour was lovely. It is a very long day packed full of activities but worth it. We had a fabulous bus delivers Armando and an excellent tour guide Oscar. They were both incredibly friendly and extremely helpful with tons of knowledge.

1.00ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!! We are from Australia and travelling to Europe is a 24 hour journey, we have a lot to see and Golden Tours has tainted our trip. We are in London for 10 nights and booked the tour to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Oxford and we only got to see Stonehenge. The bus had a mechanical issue shortly after leaving Stonehenge at 11:30am and we were taken back to the visitor centre there. We were told we would get on the other bus waiting next to us, half an hour later that bus leaves. So we then proceeded to spend until 1pm on the bus being gaslit that “another bus” from Windsor Castle with people on it was going to be our tour bus for the rest of the day. Really it was just a cover for them to waste time until a replacement bus from London could come up to pick us up. Come 1pm there’s still no bus and won’t be at Stonehenge until 2:20pm. We had to then spent almost 2 hours in the shi**y visitor centre waiting for this “imaginary bus” which proceeded to rock up at 3pm (ANOTHER 40 MINS LATER). Meanwhile, the tour guide was gaslighting all the passengers making it seem like this wasn’t a big inconvenience, sorry what? We were STRANDED for over 3 hours and wasted our day, and they are making it incredibly difficult to get a refund. They only want to refund for the Windsor and Oxford portion of the tour, but we have now wasted a WHOLE DAY of our precious trip here in London because of their mismanagement and their incompetence to ensure their buses are fit for the service they are offering. I would not recommend this to ANYONE (even my worst enemy) and I’m incredibly angry as it was not cheap either. Will never use you again you have no customer service

5.00Bruce was so funny and very knowledgeable. Great information along the way, but didn’t talk the whole time which was perfect. Information was perfectly timed as to where we were going and where we picked up. Just a great guy all around. Be sure to ask for Bruce.
