It’s full day and does cover a lot of ground, in more than one way! Our guide, Josh, was knowledgeable and helpful. It was a bilingual tour.

I had limited time in London so decided to make the most of the day and go to the three sites: Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath. I highly recommend you choose to go on a two site visit instead and really give Stonehenge and Windsor Castle the time they deserve to be explore as (as many other reviews also state) this tour allows very little time at each site. We departed London early and I was confused when we arrived at Windsor Castle about 45 minutes before the castle opened. The guide explained that the line to make entry to the castle can get quite long so by getting there early we were able to be the first group in line maximizing our time within the castle versus waiting in a line. Be ready to be standing outside as I was not as I had figured the time was all transit and not outdoor waiting. Once in the castle most people went to the Chapel first but I power walked up the hill an went straight to the Royal apartments and the princess’ dollhouse and was first in the line of… one. Be sure to really look at the dollhouse as the items are genuine- the wine bottle have wine in them, the toilets actually flush (if the guard was telling the truth and not pulling my leg), everything works and is amazing in miniature. I then had the privilege of being the first guest to walk through the royal apartments and got to great the various tour staff in each room. It was amazing to walk the rooms in quiet and imagine what it is like to actually live in the apartments. It wasn’t until the final rooms that other guests began to come in. The chapel was beautiful and I would have loved to spend more time learning about the various historical elements, but I was glad to be able to pay my respects to the late queen. Throughout the castle grounds there are various small gifts shops that while they have some common items, seem to have some unique items to each shop so if souveinrs are important to you be sure to stop in each, or to ask a staff member what shop may have the particular thing you are looking for. Next stop was Stonehenge. The site is known to be windy and on some days, such as the day I visited, the high winds cause the paths on the far side of the site to be closed off. I was disappointed, but found it really did not affect my visit. Be aware that Stonehenge is often shown like it is in a remote, quiet area, where that is not the case. There is a large motorway not far from Stonehenge so be sure you have proper expectations set. That being said I really really enjoyed taking time to absorb the rocks and think about their history and how the world has changed since it was erected. You will only have about 50 minutes at the entire stop so sadly I had to give up time at the stones to be able to go and quickly explore the information center to learn more about the site. I think this is where the time crunch was most acutely felt as people had to decide between seeing the stones for more than a few minutes, learning about the stones in the education center, or being able to sit and eat lunch or buy a cold food to take and eat on the bus. Next stop was Bath and I was wholly underwhelmed. The site is large and very informative, but once I had read a few plaques and seen a few baths, I was ready to go. It felt a shame that I had 1.5 hours to kill after I had exited the baths where that time could have been spent at Stonehenge or Windsor castle more enjoying the sites.

Great experience but not enough time at Windsor castle. Definitely couldn’t doddle looking in state rooms if St. George’s cathedral is a must see.

Bruce is the best tour guide there is! Definitely recommend this tour! Except for the rainy and cold weather in February.
