To celebrate the big Strauss anniversary year 2025, the Vienna Mozart Orchestra is launching a new product from July 25, 2024: The Strauss Dinner Show presents a breathtaking performance by a total of 20 artists, accompanied by an exquisite menu. The program takes you on an unforgettable journey through the world-famous hits of Johann Strauss, including numerous polkas and waltzes - of course including the Blue Danube Waltz and the Radetzky March. There are also impressive show acts, interactive participation activities and fascinating dance performances. Immerse yourself in an evening full of enjoyment, music and entertainment that celebrates Viennese culture and Johann Strauss in all its splendor. The Strauss Dinner Show will be held at the Mirage, an authentic and intimate venue with a capacity for 300 guests. It was a good show. The food was good. There should be a bit more music. There was a bit to much talking.

My mom had heard about this show online and read the rave reviews about it so I decided to go ahead and buy (quite expensive!) tickets to the show. We had really been looking forward to it and I’m sorry to say it was a bit disappointing. The musicians are all great but they split the show into two parts, before dinner and after dinner. The first part was really where they highlighted Strauss’s music and the second part was more of a comedy show, not what I’ve come to expect of a classical music concert. Now on to the food. I requested at the last minute to switch to a vegetarian option due to an upset stomach the day of the show. They were very quick and polite in their response on WhatsApp. Unfortunately, neither the classic meal (which both of my parents had) nor the vegetarian option were that great. My dad gave me some of his roast beef to try and it was a little dry. My mom said that hers was tough. The cheese spaetzle I had was too heavy and covered in fried onions. Overall, I didn’t feel this show was worth the nearly $600 USD I paid for it.

Visiting the Strauss Dinner Show was a successful surprise gift for my parents. We loved the unique location, the Strauss melodies and the unforgettable atmosphere. In a beautiful stage lodge, all to ourselves, we enjoyed the evening. The delicious 4-course menu was served during breaks by very courteous waiters. It was an all-round successful evening!

Lovely uplifting and joyful. A well-composed program. Absolutely a very nice show. The opera singer was fantastic, and thanks for coming out and talking to us after the show. Thank you to all artists, servants and technicians. But one note to the dress code. The audience could dress a little nicely. Guests who come in everyday clothes for entertainment by an orchestra dressed in dress and white are not suitable. Such a thing is unnecessarily sad. It is a pity for the performing musicians, dancers and singers. But you can't blame Mirage for that.
We lost +200€ and last night in Vienna in this place

I had a bad experience. It was our last night in Vienna and they were extremely rude and rude. My recommendation to anyone is not to choose this place to spend the night of voices. Full of protocols. It's not just taking off your jacket, it's the way you eat, the way you dress, everything. You can't do anything when someone comes and says you can't. Except you pay the entrance and still pay for keeping the jacket (mandatory, if something happens with it, even paying mandatory to keep.. they are not responsible). Bags, backpacks, etc., any one, don't come in. Also pay obligatory to obligatory leave in their closet. Bad energy. Very bad energy! If you're fat too... better not come. They can't have anything "great" on the table pq "trap the passage". It's like a circus in Brazil. That was my experience. There is no cancellation on time, there is no refund. Over 200 euros and our last night in Vienna literally thrown in the trash.

It was a very successful evening, the musical program was really funny, varied and very entertaining. The moderation in English was in very understandable Oxford English and therefore also very easy for school English speakers 😉. We found the moderate beverage prices surprising. The only downside for me as a restaurateur was that my meat in the main course to the first was minimally large, like a sole of a shoe snuck through and almost inedibly tough. My wife's meat was cooked perfectly to the point and since I gave my wife a princess pampering evening, I naturally kept quiet and ate. Well, I was unlucky with the meat once. But since the entire evening was an experience and the positive impressions prevailed, there is a good review as well as a recommendation.
Good is very pretty yes...but they put you at a table with other people

Watched the show 31 March 2026. Felt like I was being hustled for money. Musicians and performers were very talented, but the actual running of the show/the experience of the show... felt very gimmicky... like it was all about money. I felt like I was being hustled for money. Like they were trying to upsell me. For example, the four of us paid like 110 euros each to attend the show...then they wanted 2 euros per coat to hold your coat in the coat closet. Then they wanted extra money for water and soft drinks (I think this should be included in the price). Maybe they can charge extra for alcoholic drinks but not soft drinks or water. Then they had a photographer going around taking your picture and laid the pictures on display...which I can only assume would cost even more money if you wanted to take the photo home with you. Then, at least TWICE they asked the audience to post about the show on social media (that felt cheap and tacky). The conductor of the show seemed unsure if himself...like he was an actor in a play and forgot his lines several times. That felt uncomfortable and awkward. I really had high hopes for this experience and paid a lot of money to enjoy it with my wife and in-laws...in fact my in laws paid for the show based on my recommendation. I read through many reviews online and it was one of the main reasons I chose Vienna as a vacation destination.

It is a tourist attraction but extremely professional, qualitative and complete. Music, waltzes, ballet, opera, violin (classical and modern), everything is in joy and good humor. Very good dinner. The staff is very professional and pleasant. We had a great evening.

A wonderful evening. The music was fantastic, the conductor made the evening so entertaining. The Soprano and the Violinist gave really great performances. Very entertaining all round.
