We welcome you to discover the real flavors, colors, and rhythm of Panama City on our street-food tasting adventure that goes far beyond restaurants.
This is not a sit-down meal—it’s a walking experience through the city’s most authentic neighborhoods, where you’ll taste, learn, and connect with the people behind Panama’s local cuisine.
Start at the Seafood Market with three types of ceviche, then explore San Felipe Neri Market to sample Afro-Caribbean dishes, tropical juices, Geisha coffee, and hot sauces.
Continue along Avenida Central for tamales and a visit to a local bakery. In El Chorrillo, enjoy coconut fish, BBQ chicken, smoked chorizo, and escabeche fish, served in tasting portions.
Optional rum cocktail or juice included. This is a tasting tour, not a full meal.

5.00I had an amazing experience on the Street Food Tour in Panama (20+ flavors) with Paradox Experience, booked through Viator. Everything from start to finish was excellent! The variety of food was incredible—so many authentic flavors, and every stop was delicious. I especially loved how we got to try a wide range of local dishes that I wouldn’t have found on my own. What really stood out was how informative the tour was. Our guide shared so much knowledge about Panamanian culture, history, and the stories behind the food, which made the experience even more meaningful.

5.00This was the best food tour that I have been on.This husband /wife team take out all the stops and show you their Panamanian roots.Lots of Samples and variety.i particularly love all the fresh juice samples and donuts.

5.00Our Street Food Tour in Panama City with Paradox Experience was easily one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, it was incredibly informative, not just about the food, but about the culture, history, and everyday life in Panama. Each stop introduced us to new flavors (20+ is no exaggeration), and everything was explained in a way that made it feel meaningful, not just like a tasting. What really stood out, though, was the people. The guides made us feel less like tourists and more like family. They were warm, genuine, and deeply passionate about what they do. They openly shared their personal stories and upbringing, which added such a powerful, human element to the experience. You could truly feel how much they love their community, and that pride came through in every part of the tour. It wasn’t just about eating, it was about connection, understanding, and appreciation. We left full, happy, and with a much deeper respect for Panama and its culture. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the city.

5.00A great way to get out of Casco tourist area and see a bit of the rest of the City. Run by a fantastic couple who are very passionate about what they are doing and why. Elena leads the tour with very high energy and sense of fun, while her husband Jonathan lends the passion as you tour the neighbourhoods where he grew up. They employ a number of young Panamanians, and a good bit of this tour is giving back & supporting these neighbourhoods and the people that live there, in the shadow of wealth. Definitely a "professional" level tour, with logoed shirts, a strong sense of organization, headsets for everyone so you can always hear. Very safe, solid English. LOTS of good food and plenty to drink (rum or non-alc cocktails), and they show you a side of PanamaCity you might not find by yourself. Was easily one of the highlights of my time in Panama' and cannot recommend them highly enough.

5.00This was one of the best things we did in Panama City. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was like we were meeting up with old friends. The food was amazing, and we got to try a variety of things. One of the best things was meeting members of the community. At one point, we listened to a community Salsa Bank and were asked to join in the dancing. Such fun!! I'd definitely do it again.

5.00This tour was awesome! Everything we ate and drank was delicious and it was the perfect amount of food. The guides had interesting local commentary and recommendations. It was conveniently located near casco viejo, but did not include any of the fancier bars/restaurants we had been recommended. A lot of the hot food were delicious local dishes that I would not have known to order. Definitely would recommend!

5.00I had a great experience. Not only was the food great, we also were welcomed into a resilient community where the people shared their food, dance, drink, and history with us. The tour guides were very professional and knowledgeable; they also fostered a family oriented environment.

5.00Do NOT miss out on this!! Elena was the funniest, bubbliest tour guide and goes through a lot of history and information through each place. It is a walking food tour and it got humid in April so be prepared for lots of walking and lots of sweat but believe me when I tell you that it is BEYOND worth it!! If you do this at the beginning of your trip, it will really set a wonderful precedence and puts the beauty of Panama in a new perspective and my mom & I are so excited to see what other hidden gems there are for the rest of our week-long trip. Luis, Johnathan, Melqui, Isaac, and Aaron were absolutely amazing and friendly and so so attentive. Getting to spend time with the locals and trying the food (yes, EAT THE FOOD!) was a top notch experience unlike anything I’ve done in the other countries I’ve visited. It’s personable, emotional, beautiful, and is in my top 5 favorite experiences. Thank you all at Paradox Tours for such an amazing day!!
