  If you don’t do anything else in Panama, definitely do this!!! We tried over 25 things including fish, chicken, potato salad, plantains, juices, coffee, honey, hot sauce, and the list goes on! Elena and Jonathan really know their stuff! They describe the history, flavors, cultural significance and meaning behind everything we ate, saw or heard. Walking through the different neighborhoods we felt very safe. You can tell that Jonathan and Elena know everyone and are well respected. Wear comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking, and com prepared to eat! Everyone in our group was so full by the end of the day. Honestly, they could’ve charged even more for this. From start to finish the tour was about 4 hours.

  This was our favorite tour during our 4 days in Panama City! Paradox Experience was organized, engaging and relatable during the Street Food Tour. Everything from logistics to communication to ensuring our safe departure made for a memorable experience during our stay. They clearly have their act together and care deeply about sharing their heritage and community with us. We truly enjoyed seeing the real Panama through their eyes and our stomachs. Everything we sampled was delicious! Highly recommended!

  This was such an immersive and enjoyable experience. I had traveled to Panama many times for work, but this was my first time taking a few days to relax and enjoy the city. In the more touristy parts of the city, the food is excellent but as expensive as some American cities. After doing this tour, I not only knew what to try but also where to go to have incredible food for a fraction of the price. The people who ran the tour did a great job of educating us on the food, culture, and communities. My only hesitation in recommending it to others is that it involves a lot of standing and walking on some uneven streets (typical for cities), so anyone with mobility challenges may find this tour difficult. But if you’re good on your feet book this tour- what you pay for the tour you will save the rest of the week in food bills

  My group of five girl friends absolutely loved this experience! All of the staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and fun! We really felt that we experienced the "true Panama" on this tour. We started by getting to know where the Panamanian foods come from by touring the fish and fruit and vegetable markets. We were able to taste hot sauce, juices, honey and coffee. Everything we were served was delicious - from the ceviche to the barbecue chicken served next to the soccer field. As much as we truly loved the food, this experience was much more than a food tour! We were brought into what felt like an immersive cultural experience. We spent most of our time outside of the touristy areas visiting the neighborhood eateries and learning about the people who prepared them. Truly, the best part was getting to meet the people! We ended our experience listening to local musicians and dancing with everyone gathering in the community. This group is doing something really cool in giving back to a community that they clearly value. I highly recommend this tour! They also have many more recommendations outside of the those that we had time to visit. You will eat a lot of food and will have places you want to visit afterwards, so I recommend going on the tour toward the beginning of your trip if you are visiting.

  The tour guides was excellent showing us the different cultural foods and spices. We toured different parts of the city and had a great time meeting the locals this was my favorite tour

  This tour took us to places we never would have found on our own. We visited markets that we never would have guessed were even there. We ate delicious foods that we never would have known to try. Elena and Luis and Jonathan and their crew could not have been more accommodating, kind, or knowledgeable about the real Panama City, where the real Panamanian live. They love their corner of the world, and they shared it with us openly. Our appreciation of this city and its foods and its people grew by the minute during this tour that is worth every penny that we paid.

  Elena and Johnathon were excellent guides on this tour of food and drink in Panama City. It was obvious, they had done their research and introduced tour members to special places and food one would be unlikely to find on their own. El Gato Negro was my favorite. The chili dogs were excellent as well. Come hungry because you will be full by the end of the tour. Thanks to great ambassadors of Panama.

  Great afternoon on this Food Tour. The team very attentive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun to be with. So much food, we’re skipping dinner tonight. The food tasty, plentiful, and good cross section of what Panamanian food is like. Highly recommend this tour.
