  We had Laura as our guide, and she was excellent. Laura was a wealth of information on not only food, but also culture, history, customs, and so on. Just what we wanted, more of an immersion on local culture and history. Laura took us to neighborhood restaurants and a local market. As with other tours, a ton of food! It was a 12:30-4:00 tour, and we had a very light dinner, as the tour was essentially a lunch and a dinner. Laura shared some of her personal family story (parents, grandparents, in the communist era), which gave us great insight into these more recent generations. And of course the food variety and quality were both excellent, and her explanations on the food background was very interesting. We have been on a dozen food tours internationally (we're from the US), and this was one of the very best, 5-stars.

  We had very enjoyable and informative conversations with our guide, Cristian. We learned so much about the history of Romania and the challenges they have faced. We had a wide variety (and generous amount) of local delicious food!

  Our tour guide was interesting and funny. She showed us lots of different things about Bucharest, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I can highly recommend the foodie tour. Our guides name is Laura Genescu. She will take you around and you’ll love the venues she takes you too, and the food you will be served. Thank Laura!!!!!!

  Laura takes time to.listen and get to know what you want to know and the mood of the group and thenakes sure you are getting the most out of you time. The food is delicious and the company with Laura super good. A really fun way to get to know Bucharest

  From the first email contact with Laura, we couldn’t have been more pleased. She was communicative -nothing was too small for her. In addition to the food tour, she arranged tickets for a tour of the parliament. When we had an unexpected extra day in Bucharest, she quickly provided ideas for yours. When the weather was unusually warm, she asked if she could move it from 2 to 5pm. She is all about her guests. The food tour was very good. Laura offered plenty of info and history as we walked. We had appetizers at a restaurant, and Laura gave us options. The stop at a farmers market was especially enjoyable. She asked what we wanted to sample and bought that for us (we were a party of 4). Dinner was at another restaurant, again with a Laura-suggested assortment of local dishes. We ended at an eclair place. I don’t like eclairs, but what an exception these are! Laura ordered a variety so we could each eat a little of several flavors. I had several questions about payment , and Laura was amenable to however o wanted to pay - cash, PayPal, dollars, euros, or Romanian currency. Highly recommended (if you can’t tell!).

  Laura was an outstanding guide. She took us to several unique restaurants featuring local foods as well as several local cultural landmarks. She was deeply knowledgeable and very personable, and adapted the tour to our interests adding in several galleries along the way and modifying her planned route accordingly. She spent far more than the allotted time with us. I very highly recommend her.

  I had an amazing time on this food tour of Bucharest! The guide was not only super fun and engaging, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, and – of course – food. Every stop offered something delicious and unique, from traditional Romanian dishes to hidden local gems I never would have found on my own. It felt like exploring the city with a friend who knows all the best spots. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bucharest!
