Meet Cumbrecita, a small Alpine village nestled in the Sierras, Argentina’s first pedestrian town.
We leave Córdoba by Provincial Route 5, passing through the Monument to Myriam Stefford, Alta Gracia, Anisacate, La Bolsa and Villa Ciudad de América. We continue the tour crossing the four tributary rivers of Lake Los Molinos and the towns of Potrero de Garay and Los Reartes. From there we ascend the Sierras Grandes, crossing a picturesque region of coniferous forests. We pass through Villa Berna and arrive at La Cumbrecita, a small village in Alpine style that has the uniqueness of being one of the few pedestrian villages in the world. We visit the resort La Olla, the traditional hotel La Cumbrecita, the ecumenical chapel, etc. Then we know Villa General Belgrano, with its particular Central European physiognomy. We resume the RP 5 passing through the Wind Curve, enjoying a spectacular panoramic view of the Lake and Dyke Los Molinos; and we begin the return to Córdoba.

Very good tour, complete and very pleasant despite the bad weather. Both Juli and Damian were a charm, I will repeat as soon as I can.

What a fun day! Who knew that you would find a German village tucked into the hills of Argentina. The pace of the tour was comfortable we had ample time to explore the area. Our guide was attentive and delightful. Scenery was beautiful.

We had a beautiful drive out to the dike with a short stop to get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views. Another lovely drive to La Cumbrecita. Our guide, Martina, was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. She took time to explain the history of the region along the way. She also guided me to the water fall and explained the village history along the way. The next stop in Villa General Belagrano was fun with nice shops and great places to buy chocolate. Ride home was spectacular with beautiful sunset which made the mountains and lake look spectacular. Our driver was excellent as well. Highly recommend this trip.

Super friendly guide. Enjoyed la Cumbrecita--the place they picked for lunch was quite decent. Villa Belgrano was less thrilling, but all in all, a good day.

La Cumbrecita is an ideal town to enjoy its gastronomy, shop and have some mates on the beaches of its rivers. The attention of its people is excellent, safety and cleanliness excel giving a plus to the beauty of the Sierras Cordoba

The tour took in three scenic spots, all on the valley between the Sierras Chicas and Sierras Grandes. The guide (I’m not sure I got his name right, Gaston?) provided a wealth of information along the way. I was the only English-speaking guest. He spoke first in Spanish then turned to me to tell me on English what he said. His English was very good. I recommend this tour.
