Travel by air-conditioned catamaran from Cairns Marina to our Moore Reef Pontoon located on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, perfectly positioned and equipped for you to explore this reef that is teeming with colourful coral and fascinating fish.
Spend 4 hours exploring the reef by taking advantage of the free inclusions such as glass bottom boat tours, all snorkelling equipment, underwater observatory, fish feeding presentation, an enclosed ocean pool for kids and buffet lunch.
The pontoon also features an upper sundeck to relax in the sun and look out over the turquoise waters in between activities. This is where you'll find the waterslide - the only theme park waterslide on the reef!
Dial up the adventure and add on optional extras like include Introductory or Certified diving, Seawalker Helmet dive, Guided Snorkel Tour or even a Scenic helicopter flight.

Weather put a damper on the day

3.00This trip should have been cancelled and money refunded because of the weather. The day we went out we were unfortunate with the weather. Once we were on the boat we were given a strong warning that the boat trip to the pontoon would be rough and were advised to take travel sickness pills which we could purchase from the small kiosk onboard. The trip out was uncomfortable and very very rough with many people experiencing sickness, even after having travel sickness pills or bands. Not a great start to the day. When out at the pontoon they day was drizzly and miserable. trying to make the best of a bad weather day some of our family did snorkel for as long as they could in the cold water. Lunch was provided and was adequate. The captain of the ship was rude and grumpy and witnessed him reprimanding both adults and children in that manner, not great customer relations. In the right weather conditions the day and with a captain with a more pleasant disposition this could have been an awesome day. Make sure you double check the weather and the sea conditions before the free cancellation period ends. If the sea and weather conditions look bad better to cancel and not go than have a miserable day.

5.00Great day out seen lots even if the weather wasn't so good but it didn't stop us from enjoying our day. Just make sure that you take sickness tablets before you get on the boat. Chris the captain and the crew were fantastic, thankyou for the experience.

5.00Wonderful! They make it easy for all ages and all people to experience the Great Barrier Reef! The experience was great, the boat ride was fun, the food was just ok. I do wish they would have had kid options and drinks available.

5.00Greta day our and amazing sights on the reef. This was one of our highlights of an entire Australia trip and is highly recommended. My one complaint is that you need to ay for everything over and above the ticket outside of your lunch. Soft drinks, snacks, even a locker for valuables (this one was most frustrating) and a guided snorkel tour along with any photos. It just felt like we had to pay additional fees for anything

3.00This is one of the few ways for people to see the reef; if you’re an experienced scuba diver, you might try a different tour. This is a very large group of people, the instructions over the loudspeakers were barely audible over the noise of most people not paying attention, and I suspect many of the guests didn’t understand English anyway. As a result, the experience on the platform was quite chaotic trying to collect and don equipment, and return it afterwards. The area of reef we were allowed to swim was fairly restricted. That being said, the reef was in surprisingly good shape, with numerous fish.
