If you are interested in dogs, you will love being here at Snowdog. We have an amazing bunch of super friendly canines. Oh, of course, we have a big bunch of superhero puppies you may wish to meet? We will tell you about Lapland, dog sledding and of course the resident Hero's - our dogs.

Experience the remarkable crystalized pastel colours of Lapland, amazing, breath-taking and vibrant. An experience made quintessential when coupled with a fantastically strong, cuddly and beautiful team of 12-14 Alaskan Huskies. A morning never to be forgotten! You will share a sled that seats 4 people in total and be able to relax and absorb the magnificent wilderness. Perhaps if you are lucky you will be able to see a Moose or some Reindeer on your tour. You will sit and be driven by one of our experienced guides, only to sit and enjoy the ride. Afterwards, you will be able to treat your lovely husky team with a chunk of meat, their favourite winter snack. Our Sled Dog Kennel is approx 17km outside the main tourist centre of Kiruna. Away from all other companies. We will collect you free of charge and bring you to get changed into our warm clothes before taking you into the very dark Poikkijärvi Woods. As part of the experience, if you wish you can help ready the dogs and help secure them after your tour. Then we proceed to our cosy fire hut where you can enjoy a warm drink and a lovely snack over the open wood fire. An experience not to be missed.

4.00We were entrusted to David who is a very good guide. He explained details and involved us in the care of the dogs giving us useful and interesting explanations. Dogs are obedient and the Trueman leader is incredibly trained and listens to every word. We were given gloves, boots and thermal suits without which the excursion would not have been feasible since there were - 31 C . Unfortunately it started late and we had to wait outside for about 1 hour waiting for customers who had not been caught in time .. this hitch made the experience a little less beautiful because it was really so cold. Anyway I recommend the excursion.

5.00A fantastic experience richer! Together with our two daughters of 10 and 7 years old made this fantastic tour. The dogs were treated very well, the staff were very nice and attentive (!!!). Should you go this way, book this trip with these fantastic people and huskies! Our eldest daughter said to 'her husky' when she left I love you. That says it all. Have fun, go, go, go!

4.00Make sure that you confirm the pick up spot! We accidentally took a cab to another point when they picked up at our hotel. The guide was very friendly and funny. The team truly cares about the dogs and are knowledgeable. Dress warmly !! The ride is pretty long so get comfortable. The view is phenomenal. We were able to meet the other dogs in their kennels who were very friendly. Be careful when taking photos and videos during the ride; we thought the guides would take more during the ride but we only got stationary video/photo when we were briefly on the lake. At the end we were able to feed the dog team and warm up in a cool hut with beverages and snacks. I would recommend !!!
