Get outdoors in the evening for an adventurous refreshing walk along the mountainside path to our famous Lighthouse, Dona Amélia. The incredible views, and refreshing air, make this the most rewarding walk you will take on the Island;) Arriving to the picturesque lighthouse, Dona Amélia, take a moment to relax and watch the sun set into the endless Atlantic Ocean
Enjoy a pick up at your accommodation in Mindelo and head out of the city for a fantastic evening hike. Drive on the coastal road to the Southwest of the Island, to Santo André where we will begin our ascend along the man made mountain path. In the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean below, you may have the opportunity to witness Sealife such as, dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and more. The sun sets in the West, needless to say, this is one of the best places to capture it in São Vicente. After a rewarding hike, return along the mountainside path to the beach; return to your accommodation in Mindelo.

5.00This hike was a treat. The views were equal parts stunning and breathtaking. I was lucky enough to be solo for my hike and my guide Sonya was excellent as was the driver whon came along. We explored a cave and a landing right in the ocean! In addition to the lighthouse we went to a great beach to see the sunset. Please be aware; the hike is probably easy if you hike regularly. It is a bit of a challenge to for others. Doable but challenging. It requires concentration and care as the path is narrow and the mountain edge is exposed in different areas. It is worth the bravery but not for everyone.

5.00It's a wonderful walk to see the light house and set. Our guide is very knowledgeable and explained very well. Make sure you wear walking shoes.
Great for those who like a beautiful sunset and take outdoor walks to get in touch with nature.

5.00We made 2 excursions. The sunset at the lighthouse dona and the tea house rises green. We had the pleasure of having raquel for both excursions. Very professional guide listening and caring for us. The same applies to drivers. We will have a very good memory.

5.00Everything went well! Guide was excellent and the walk is amazing. Did not expect it to be that close to the edge of the cliffs but it was very safe. Bring jacket cause it can be very windy!

5.00So we were over the moon to have the guides we’d had for our island tour to take us again on our sunset walk. It was superb and again driven so carefully to the parking. Now I need to be honest the walk is not for the faint hearted…. It has its challenges and it has no barrier …. So we walked behind our guide confidently and our driver walked behind us. They were great and they took photos of us there. They knew where to sit in order to watch the sunset really well. Brilliant but be prepared for it ie don’t think you’ll be doing it in your flip flops!!

4.00Cool (short) hike along the coast with great views and steep cliff faces. Enthusiastic Guide there and also been to the lighthouse. Due to clouds not being able to see a sunset, but also on a cloudy day this excursion is definitely worth it!
