The floating village of Kampong Phluk is located 31 kilometers east of Siem Reap, nestled among lush, often-flooded mangroves. Known for its distinctive stilt houses, this fishing village offers an ever-changing landscape due to Cambodia's wet and dry seasons.

During the rainy season (June to March ), the water level rises, and locals travel by boat. In the dry season,

some walking is required. On this small-group tour, you'll gain an up-close view of the unique lifestyle and culture of this Southeast Asian lake community. Please noted from March to June Dry season

Kampong Phluk Floating Village

At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.

Tonle Sap Lake

Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

Great tour and tour guide. I highly recommend. Very interesting fishing village. The people in the village are very friendly. Suggestion to take change so you could buy the local merchandise and buy school supplies for the local children.

Poun was an excellent and informative guide on this trip, and seeing the sunset was a magical experience. I recommend this to anyone interested in seeing the unique and interesting way that the people live around the Tonle Sap and think that the extra trip through the flooded forest was well worth it.

Went for the sunset tour with Tom as my guide. Tom was amazing and made the experience even more immersive than I had expected. He gave opportunities to speak to the locals and was very knowledgable about the village, given that's where he's from. Would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Siem Reap!
