The floating village of Kampong Phluk is located 31 kilometers east of Siem Reap, nestled among lush, often-flooded mangroves. Known for its distinctive stilt houses, this fishing village offers an ever-changing landscape due to Cambodia's wet and dry seasons.
During the rainy season (July to March ), the water level rises, and locals travel by boat. In the dry season ,
some walking is required. On this small-group tour, you'll gain an up-close view of the unique lifestyle and culture of this Southeast Asian lake community. Please noted from April to July Dry season

Kampong Phluk Floating Village
At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.
Tonle Sap Lake
Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

5.00This tour was really interesting, we learn how the locals live and go to school and how they live during the rainy season. The floating restaurant is literally in the middle of nowhere which makes it so nice and with a perfect view of the sunset. Our tour guide Tom was the best, he is friendly and knowledgeable as the village is his hometown. I highly recommend this tour with Tom!

5.00Tom was my guide to kampong phluk and tonle sap. This is a very interesting community of stilt and floating houses. During the dry season the people struggle to make ends meet and make repairs to their homes. During the wet season it is possible to kayak thru the Mangrove forests. Wet season brings its own troubles, but more opportunity. I found the knowledge and experience with Tom a valuable experience. Either way you get a beautiful sunset and boat ride on the Tonle Sap

5.00We had a beautiful tour. Tom Bory showed us around and has shared an immense amount of information. As this is pre monsoon season and low season we got to walk through the village and see the way of local life. Sunset dinner and a time to relax and reconnect with nature was beautiful too.
Such a fun and informative tour! Totally recommended!

5.00Tom was so knowledgeable and fun! Even during the day season we were able to see the village and get all the explanations re what happens when the waters come and how the locals cope. We visited a local English school and mingled with teachers and students, and finished with a nice sunset meal on a boat. It was a great experience to get truly in touch with the Cambodian daily life
