The floating village of Kampong Phluk is located 31 kilometers east of Siem Reap, nestled among lush, often-flooded mangroves. Known for its distinctive stilt houses, this fishing village offers an ever-changing landscape due to Cambodia's wet and dry seasons.
During the rainy season (June to March ), the water level rises, and locals travel by boat. In the dry season,
some walking is required. On this small-group tour, you'll gain an up-close view of the unique lifestyle and culture of this Southeast Asian lake community. Please noted from March to June Dry season

Kampong Phluk Floating Village
At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.
Tonle Sap Lake
Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

5.00Our tour guide for the Tonlé Sap Lake and Kampong Phluk village trip was Tom. He was very knowledgeable about the lake’s ecosystem, the seasonal changes, and the daily lives of the floating‑village communities. He explained everything in clear English and was happy to answer all our questions, which made the tour both enjoyable and educational. He was also very considerate and adaptable—checking in on us, adjusting the pace of the visit, and sharing interesting local stories and cultural insights. The boat driver he worked with was safe and professional, so we felt comfortable at all times. Thanks to our guide, this half‑day trip turned into one of the highlights of our stay in Siem Reap and gave us a much deeper appreciation of Tonlé Sap Lake and its people.

5.00Amazing experience, Tom our guide was amazing he was very knowlageable and professional, I couldn’t recommend the tour and Tom anymore. We came in th dry season in April so the actual village was dry which was even better to see the area. I’d much prefer the dry season.

5.00This is an excellent tour and well worth an afternoon. Having a guide that is from the local community is very beneficial as the group was able to move easily through the village and get up close with the people and their culture. Tom does a great job organizing everything and I would highly recommend the experience.
