Important Information for all travellers who are going to book this trip: Every first Friday of the month, Mount Ijen is closed for one day. So, please make sure you check the date of your booking.
Announcement: Ijen Crater is now open as usual and safe to visit. However, due to natural conditions, the blue fire is temporarily not visible. Please remember to always follow safety guidelines during your visit.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR IJEN CRATER: * Visitors descending into the crater must maintain a minimum safety distance of 500 meters from the sulfur mining area. * The visibility of the blue fire is no longer visible due to a problem with the miners in the mining area. So for now, the tour will be sunrise and crater view. But sometimes, the local made a fake blue fire on the stone

SURABAYA – HOTEL IN BROMO

Upon your arrival in the Mount Bromo area, you will be staying at the local hotel/ homestay/ mountain lodge here.
Surabaya
We will pick you up at your Hotel in Surabaya at 9 am, Surabaya Airport or Train Station (depends on your arrival). Surabaya to Mount Bromo area will take 3 hours away, you will some rural area and some villages. For lunch, our guide will recommend you to eat at the local restaurant to taste a local cuisine here. Upon your arrival in Mount Bromo area, you will be required to wear your jacket and warmer stuff because Bromo is quite chill especially in the evening. OPTIONAL: IF YOU CAN START EARLIER FROM SURABAYA, WE CAN RECOMMEND YOU TO VISIT MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL. BUT THE COST WILL BE ON YOUR OWN, JUST LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.
DAY 2: BROMO SUNRISE TOUR – HOMESTAY IN TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL

Mount Bromo
The sunrise tour in Mount Bromo will be started at 3:30 am, you will be pick up by our local jeep driver and drive about 40 minutes to Kingkong Hill. The sun will rise at 5:30 am, so you have time to wait while having some hot coffee or tea in the local shop near Kingkong Hill. Kingkong hill is the most famous sunrise point where you can see the Cemara Lawang Village, Mount Bromo, Mount Batok and Mount Semeru in one point of view. After enjoying the sunrise here, you will be escorted back to the jeep then drive to sea of sand for hiking the peak of Mount Bromo. We will be stopping by in the sea of sand to enjoy the view from the bottom and take a photo with an iconic jeep in Mount Bromo. Afterward, we will drive 5 minutes to reach the start point of the trekking, the trekking will be 45 minutes until you reach the peak of Mount Bromo. After having breakfast, take a shower and continue our trip to Lumajang area. We will drive about 4 hours away to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
DAY 3: MORNING DRIVE TO TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL – HOTEL IN BANYUWANGI TOWN AREA

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
The third day of the trip, we will start the trip about 5 am in the morning because the best time to visit the waterfall is at 7 am after the sunrise and the view of the surrounding will be clearer and not too bright for the color of the waterfall. And when you are lucky enough, there will be a fog /mist around the waterfall that makes your photo is more surreal. We will drive about 1,5 – 2 hours away from Lumajang town, the way to reach this waterfall is quite zig-zag so please prepare your own comfort. When you reach that area, you will be amazed by the view of this waterfall. Not also Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, you can also see Kapas Biru Waterfall. Both waterfalls are very famous for Instagram needs. But you must be careful due to the slippery path and traditional bamboo fence. About 11:00 am, we will escort you back to the car and we will drive about 6 hours to reach our hotel in Banyuwangi area before we do midnight trekking in Ijen Crater.
DAY 4: IJEN CRATER TOUR – DRIVE TO YOUR HOTEL IN BALI

The last day of the trip will be started at about 1 am from your hotel in Banyuwangi area. We will be driving about an hour to reach Paltuding area. Paltuding is a parking place where you can prepare your trekking stuff before we start. The trekking will take about 2 hours away until we reach Blue Flame Aka Blue Fire point, the trekking path is quite slippery and rocky in some areas, so please listen to our guide. After enjoying the natural phenomenon here, we will go up to sunrise point to see the most beautiful crater lake of Mount Ijen. It has the biggest sulfuric lake in Indonesia and it has 0,5 ph. of acidity. About 7 am, we will go back to Paltuding, then go back to our hotel in Banyuwangi area for having breakfast and prepare your stuff before going to Bali. After checking out from the hotel, we will escort you to Ketapang Ferry Port, where you will take a ferry to Bali island, the ferry takes about an hour.

What time does the tour start?: The tour will start at 10 am if you stay in a hotel around Surabaya area, if you coming to Surabaya, we can adjust the time.

2 hotel and 1 cottage: We will stay in a cottage/homestay such as Artha Cottage, Tumpak Sewu Cottage/Homestay or similar, because there is no hotel. Madakaripura Waterfall : It’s not included yet but you can ask our guide about the possibility of visiting this waterfall and also the cost of it. Standard Service: This is the standard trip with staying at 2 hotels (Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater area) and 1 homestay in Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Duration: 4 days 1 hour: The duration of the trip will be 4 days long. Lunch and dinner is not incl.: The trip only covers breakfast and the rest is on your own cost but during the trip we provide unlimited bottle of water. Overland Trip from Surabaya : Sby-Bromo-Tumpak Sewu Waterfall-Ijen Crater- Bali SUV : It depends, how many people in the group, we provide a comfy car with air conditioning. 5.00Me and my girlfriend had the pleasure to spend 3 days with Nano and Fa-id. They picked us up in Malang, right on time. Meeting them felt like seeing back old friends! The first day we went to Tumpak Sewu. Nano helped us with the way down to the waterfall and knew the best Instagram worthy spots. 📷 He also provided us with lunch on our way back to the car. The second day we went to Bromo. As usual they were right on time. We jumped in a jeep and saw a perfect sunrise. After that we went to the Bromo crater. The final day we hiked with Nano to Ijen. He gave all the information we wanted about the crater and the miners. It was a really unique experience. Overall we are super glad that we had Nano and Fa-id as our guide and driver. They were super friendly, always open for conversation, and provides us with lots of foods and drinks 😋. Also, Nano has a key eye for the perfect photo! He treats you like a supermodel and takes his time to take beautifull pictures of you. Thanks again, Matthias and Sibel from Belgium.

4.00All the sites we visited were amazing. Yogi made sure we arrived early, which allowed us to enjoy the attractions before the crowds arrived. The homestays they selected were all comfortable and conveniently located. Max was the best driver we could have wished for. We always felt safe, and at the same time he managed to get us through the traffic efficiently. The only downside was that we had expected more information about Indonesia and Java in general, and especially about the sites we visited. At times, we found ourselves listening to other guides and their more detailed explanations. Overall, we can definitely recommend this trip

4.00We did this tour but starting in Bali and ending in Surabaya. Nano and Bams were extremely friendly and accommodating and always willing to help. Modern and comfortable car, great photo spots! Some of the hotels were a bit dated but we understand there is not much choice in some more remote areas. Thanks for a great time!

5.00If we could, we would give 6 stars and even more. ⭐️ Yogi and Rico truly made this trip unforgettable for us. Our flight was delayed by 5 hours and after such a long and exhausting journey, we would have completely understood if they had been tired or stressed. Instead, they welcomed us with huge smiles, incredible warmth and kindness that instantly made us feel welcome and comfortable. Within the first few minutes, we already knew these would be very special days. During the entire tour, we never felt like “customers.” It honestly felt more like friends showing us their country. We had amazing conversations, laughed so much and at the same time learned an incredible amount. Yogi has truly impressive knowledge. About the places, the culture, the history, the people and somehow also about life in general. On top of that, he has such a positive and relaxed energy that is simply contagious. And Rico is honestly the best driver ever. The traffic and roads here can sometimes feel absolutely crazy, but with him we felt safe every single second. Calm, confident, attentive and at the same time completely relaxed. Every drive was comfortable and stress free, even on long days. What impressed us the most was how attentive both of them were all the time. It was all the little things: always having water ready, choosing perfect stops, giving great recommendations, helping with photos, taking small breaks at exactly the right moments and constantly making sure we were doing well. Nothing felt forced or like a standard tourist program. Everything felt personal, genuine and full of heart. Both of them also speak very good English and Yogi even speaks Dutch as well. You can immediately tell how experienced they are and how much passion they put into what they do. We have traveled a lot, but guides like Yogi and Rico are truly something special and very rare to find. They were not just guides for us, they were honestly one of the biggest highlights of our entire trip. We would come back anytime and would immediately book another tour only with them again. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, your humor, your care and all the unforgettable memories. We are incredibly grateful that we had the chance to meet you both. ❤️
