Anyone can now experience the thrill of a surfing lesson at one of the area's best surf schools. You'll have fun, be safe and you won’t believe how easy it will be to get up and riding! Learning to surf is an amazing experience and an awesome thing to do while in Surfers Paradise. This surf lesson caters to ages 12 and up with dedicated children's lesson available during school holidays, all levels of fitness and no swimming abilities needed due to the safe location the lessons are conducted. Our lessons operate on a 1 instructor per 5 participant ratio so we are deemed one of the safest surf schools compared to most!

Minimum age for Group Surf Lesson is 14 years old (Childrens only lessons availabe, contact supplier)
Please ensure that the phone number you provide us with is the one that we can contact you on, on the day of the surf lesson
Please ensure that you have organised your own transport to the Spit Beach as public transport terminates at Seaworld and it is a 3 km walk from there to our surf location

When you arrive at the The Spit, Doug Jennings Park, you will find our office located behind the Seaway Cafe. Walk down between the cafe and the amenities block and come in the back gate. When you arrive we will have a few minutes to check in and receive your equipment before we go as a group down to the beach to start the lesson. If you arrive more than 10 min past the meeting time the class may have proceeded without you and it will be too late to join in as you will not have your equipment. Then we head down on the beach the instructors will run through some important safety procedures and surf techniques before you hit the waves for some real thrills and spills. The instructors will try their best to get some photos of you but they will not compromise your safety for a selfie so please follow their instructions carefully if you want good pic's. after the lesson you will go back to the shack to view the photos then a few high fives and you will be on your way with a smile on your face. To help us get you on to the beach as soon as possible please arrive on time, be wearing your swimmers and ensure you have completed the medical form via the link in your confirmation e mail

5.00We had an amazing time doing the surf lesson, this was our first time doing it and we had great fun. Our instructor Jason was great, encouraging and helpful. We picked this up pretty quickly and managed to catch some of our own waves!

4.00I took a surfing lesson with a group in November when the weather conditions for surfing were not too good. Strong currents and a wild sea. Despite this, the entire group received good guidance and explanations and I felt safe in the water. They gave tips and I learned a lot. I enjoyed it so much I took another lesson the next day! That says enough right :)

5.00I have never surfed before and had a lot of fun! Our guide was super funny and very good in motivating us in trying again and again. The group size was good since we were not many people and the beach we went to was a great starting point for a first time surf. I would totally recommend for trying to surf the first time!!

5.00My pre-teen daughter and I went on family 2 hour lesson. We are Gold Coast locals and had the most fabulous experience together, it will be a lifelong memory for us. Our instructor was Beau, he was amazing! Beau was so positive, knowledgeable and patient; his patience definitely appreciated by a pair of novices. We'll be back for more, can't wait!!!!

5.00Had a great lesson with experienced coach Jason! The best surf method I have ever learnt, slow down, not to rush, how to keep balance, how to catch the wave. Also they made you great surf video/photos, really enjoy it!!
