Join us and learn to surf in Scotland at picturesque Cullen Beach! We'll provide you a cosy wetsuit and you'll brave the North Sea learning to surf with a professional instructor.

Great exercise, fun, and a unique way to experience the beautiful Moray Firth coastline.

• All equipment is included; cosy 5mm thick winter wetsuits and boots / gloves / hoods if required. We have a wide range of wetsuits to cater for all shapes and sizes

• All of our coaches are qualified lifeguards, in the water with you to help you choose waves and give feedback

• Cullen beach offers ideal & safe conditions for beginners; mellow green waves & long rolling whitewater

• Our long sandy beach benefits from local coffee and food businesses, public toilets, and free parking

Perfect for adults & kids, learning to surf is fun for everyone! Whether it’s your first time or you’re working on improving your skills, we can help you learn in a safe and fun environment. We'll meet at Cullen Beach carpark and you'll meet your instructor. Then we'll get changed and head down to beach for an introduction, theory and important safety info. After getting loose with a yoga-inspired warm up we'll get in the water, where your instructor will give you personalised advice based on your ability and goals. Time for fun in the sea! We'll have about 1.5 hours water time, and the lesson will last about 2 hours total after we're changed and on the beach.

I attended a surf lesson with Casey, along with my friends daughter. Casey did an excellent job of making us all feel at ease. Casey explained everything clearly and helped and encouraged us once we entered the water. We laughed, we fell in (a lot), we left exhausted and looking forward to the next time. Everything we needed was provided, it was such a great day and we would highly recommend it. It was excellent value for money. We are all looking forward to trying it again in the new year.

I didn’t like the big waves but I enjoyed surf school and i got to stand on the surf board and I got to paddle on the board. And the lady’s were very nice to me and my sister . From Frankie and Abigail

Amazing conditions for my daughter’s lesson. Finn was excellent explaining and supporting her through the lesson with excellent advice. Very well organised and added greatly to our holiday with a smiling but tired teenager as she had Paddle Boarded in the morning! Thoroughly recommend Blue Coast you won’t be disappointed 😊👍

Fantastic time in a women’s wee-being surf lesson. I’ve been wanting to book one for a long time but kept putting it off. This session was the perfect opportunity to increase my confidence within a like minded group. The instructor was very helpful and supportive. The session was well organised and safe. I came away eager to continue learning and practicing.

I was gifted a surf lesson for father's day. We arrived at cullen and was met by our instructor Toby. Very chill, friendly and down to earth. Clearly loves his job as he is a great teacher and when you managed to catch a wave or not I felt he genuinely shared your excitement. He was fantastic with the adults and kids. And made the whole experience 100% better. The kit and equipment were great and in great condition. Honestly not a bad thing to say about this experience. The whole family walked away and want to take up surfing as a full time hobby. If anyone is thinking of something to do one afternoon or even a unique gift then I would highly recommend blue Coast!
Great experience. Doing it for third year now.

Tuition is very good. Grand-daughter now doing it for third year and is really enjoying the experience and growing in capability. Buying a block of lessons and using them over late spring and summer gives her something to look forward to.

This was great fun and an excellent first-time surfing experience! I would definitely recommend this to any beginners / couples looking to try surfing.

Brilliant experience , instructors were really friendly and knowledgeable. Learned loads and had great fun too. The beach at Cullen is beautiful and we had good waves . Highly recommend
