Start your day with pickup from Hongik University Station or Myeongdong Station.

Next, head to Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung, a restored Joseon-era palace within a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Enjoy traditional performances, including royal guard ceremonies and martial arts shows.

Afterward, visit the Starfield Library, a modern library located in the Suwon Starfield COEX Mall. Admire the unique architecture and browse the extensive collection of books.

For me, the day trip to Hwaseong Fortress was the highlight of the journey. Our tour guide, Apollo, provided an informative overview of the fortress’s history and its defensive strategies against past enemies. Another memorable stop was the Suwon Starfield Library, which I was eager to visit after seeing the one at Starfield COEX Mall last year. Gwangmyeong Cave also stood out for its fascinating history, with art exhibits that creatively reflect its former role as a gold mine. Apollo’s extensive knowledge and sense of humor made the experience both engaging and enjoyable. I highly recommend this day tour.

Apollo's tour was very good. In polite English, he introduced Korean history, Suwon Castle and the Imperial Villa in detail. It was interesting. The Gwangmyeong Cave was also more interesting than I thought.

Apollo was our tour guide for this trip and he was very knowledgeable about the history of each and every place we visited. He would also make jokes to liven up the atmosphere. Moreover, he makes sure that each of us had a chance to take photos. Overall, I would recommend to take up Apollo as the tour guide.

Great guide - Philip. Well organised. Good communication. Hwaseong - interesting historical story on the 22nd King. Gwangmyeong - it’s an old mine, not a cave. Not much of an attraction to me.

Alex did a good job touring us around. Charlie is an excellent driver. We enjoyed the Suwon Fortess and Gwangmyeong Cave very much and were happy with the starfield library for break time and shopping.
