Next, head to Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung, a restored Joseon-era palace within a UNESCO World Heritage site.

5.00This bus tour from Seoul to Suwon was educational as well as stunning. There are extras throughout the trip that are optional such as trying Archery or getting a snack or coffee in the morning. Admission to all places listed are covered by ticket. Length of visit is adequate for all places, maybe a bit long for Starfield library/mall. Lunch at Starfield was good, but can be crowded on the weekend. Simon was a knowledgeable tour guide and enthusiastic about making sure the tour went well for everyone.

5.00We departed on time, arrived at each location also on time and had a pleasant day at different locations in Suwon and Gwangmyeong. Guide Simon was always solicit and nice, explained the history of the fortress including the history of the murder of the mad prince. We even had the opportunity to witness a performance by the royal guard near at the gate to the palace! The cave was also a higher than expected attraction!

5.00Simon was a wonderful guy with a lot of excellent jokes and a lovely smile🙏. His many cliffhangers will keep your attention the entire time at the fortress. The mix between Chinese and English worked exceptionally well with no long pauses waiting for him to finish the Chinese part. He is of royal descent and his enthusiasm for his family’s history is admirable. The cave was a banger experience, just don’t get lost in the wine shop! He even ended the tour recommending experiences and food which was very helpful. He kept everyone on track using WhatsApp, a very nice touch ensuring no one got lost on the way. Overall we recommend this experience both for English and Chinese tourists🙏🙏
