The Classical Gardens of Suzhou
Your local great guide and the driver will pick up at your Suzhou hotel or Suzhou railway station if you travel by train. After meeting, spend few mins to discuss the places to visit in Suzhou. Following is the suggested itinerary, as private tour, the itinerary can be fully customized and totally flexible. Please feel free to let your guide know if need make any adjustment. First pay the visit to one of the famed gardens: The Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lingering garden or Master of nets garden based on your preferences. With stunning example of ancient architecture from different dynasties, the amazing Suzhou gardens retains immaculate oasis features, Taihu rockeries, delicate pavilions, ponds, and lush flowers and trees and different types of Bonsai. Appreciate the charm of the garden while listening the interesting history, culture and custom from your guide.
Suzhou No.1 Silk Mill
After exploring the garden, visit Suzhou’s best-known silk factory, located in the former Japanese concession, once used the Japanese consulate. See the process of China’s famous silk manufacturing, from the tiny silkworms to the fine finished materials. If you have learnt the silk process you could substitute to one of the other top attractions such as Tiger Hill, Panmen Scenic area, Hanshan Temple or Suzhou Museum.

Magnificent and Complete Tour of Suzhou

5.00It was a complete, comfortable, and interesting trip with our wonderful guide Judy. They picked us up from the Suzhou train station and went to our first stop, the Tong Li old town where we cruise down the river. We traveled in a luxurious van and Judy was quite knowledgeable about Chinese history.

5.00Highly recommended flexible tour for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Pre trip communication excellent and we were picked up at our hotel at 0930. Lulu the guide was wonderful and spoke to us in both English and mandarin, giving us historical and cultural context throughout the day. We started with a drive to Tongli water town when it was still quiet, had a boat ride along the canal, explored Tuisi garden and bought snacks as well as having the opportunity to buy freshly picked strawberries on the way back to the city. We all enjoyed learning about the silk making process, a sumptuous lunch with local delicacies was very well ordered, and subsequently walking along Pingjiang Road and the Lion garden was beautiful and educational. We came away with meaningful souvenirs and lots of memories, and were very grateful for the warm and thorough way in which lulu helped us all day.

5.00Great tour with Michelle. Excellent guide with excellent English language skills We visited 3 spots in Suzhou and then went to Tong Li (not crowded, very charming). I spent a bunch of time researching on Viator for a customizable itinerary and Michelle delivered! Tiger Hill Pagoda, Suzhou Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden. Michelle has great knowledge which she shared at each site. Tong Li was a great way to visit an ancient canal city without the hustle & bustle of Suzhou She shepparded us through quickly and efficiently allowing us to cover a lot of territory in just one day. Driver had new car and was always ready when we were. They were very sensitive to our time schedule to catch train back to Shanghai.

5.00Sunny's Tours was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Changed our tour stops to ensure they matched our interests, went at a pace that was comfortable to us and made sure food allergies were a non-issue. The water village was the highlight - fun, interesting and highly recommended!!
