Epic coastal hike, lagoon swim and picnic in Royal National Park, all in one day. Very small groups, flexible itinerary, and a rare mix of coast, rainforest and lagoon.
Designed and hosted by Sabina, with a focus on relaxed, personal days in nature, not rushed tours.
We start with pickup from Sydney and head into Royal National Park.
From there, we hike to either Wedding Cake Rock or Eagle Rock, with sandstone cliffs, coastal tracks and wide ocean views.
After the hike, we slow down at Wattamolla Lagoon for a relaxed picnic with local cheeses, fresh fruit and drinks. Swim if you feel like it, or just take it all in.
We then explore one of the park’s oldest rainforest trails, surrounded by ferns, palms and towering eucalyptus.
On the way back, we take the Grand Pacific Drive and stop at Sea Cliff Bridge for one last coastal view.
Around 8 km, moderate. The pace is flexible and the day adapts to you.
A full day in nature that often becomes the highlight of your time in Sydney.

Start your day with an easy pickup from Sydney CBD and leave the city behind as we head south into Royal National Park, where the cliffs meet the Pacific and the air already feels different. We start with a coastal hike to either Wedding Cake Rock or Eagle Rock, depending on the weather and how challenging you’d like the walk to be on the day. Both routes take you across sandstone cliffs and coastal tracks with wide open ocean views and some of the most beautiful scenery in the park.
Royal National Park
One of the oldest trails in Royal National Park, this forest path winds through tall eucalyptus trees and lush ferns, with soft ground underfoot and filtered light through the canopy. You’ll walk at an easy pace along shaded tracks, surrounded by birdsong and the fresh scent of the bush. It’s a quieter, more grounded part of the park, rich in history and feeling. Along the way, there are moments to pause, take in the textures of the forest, and simply be immersed in nature.

5.00Sabina is great person and guide! I had a wonderful time with her, very open and fun person. It seemed that I was with friend because she makes you feel so comfortable. She took us to an amazing and beautiful landscape in the royal national park. I definitely recommend her ! I’ll try to book another tour with her.

5.00Our day with Sabina was incredible, from pick up at our hotel, to drop off at the end of the day. She tailored to day to our interests. We love hiking and being outdoors. Her knowledge of wildlife and fauna added so much to our adventure. Little touches like a coffee and coconut cookie in the morning to a charming picnic lunch, snack on a beautiful overlook, made our day so memorable. speaking of memorable, within a couple hours we received her wonderful photos. I try to take lots of photos but to have so many photos that are not selfies of our day will help us relive our amazing day forever. Thank you Sabina for an incredible Aussie adventure. We will always carry Sabina in our hearts and hope our paths cross again. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00Fantastic experience that provided an escape from the busy city life of Sydney. We were able to see some spectacular views through an enjoyable hike followed by a carefully prepared lunch consisting of local cheeses and crackers. I recommend this excursion without hesitation ! I also booked a separate excursion with the same tour company a day later to experience a different hike through the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. As fabulous and enjoyable. You will not be disappointed.

5.00Phenomenal experience! Sabina our host and guide was knowledgeable and very helpful providing us with umbrellas when it rained. We were lucky the sun came out in the afternoon when we arrived at the waterfall, river and beach for a swim The food was delicious, we devoured it all Highly recommend!

Communication was excellent; she reached out prior to the tour to ensure we were well-prepared. Sabina was also very mindful of our physical needs, adjusting the pace of the day to keep everyone comfortable. The hiking and views were great and I would not have been able to get there on my own. Everything was first class -- even the snacks at the picnic. It was the highlight of my visit to Sydney and I would do it again with her as a guide in a heartbeat.

5.00Lovely day! Sabina was fun to talk to, a smooth driver, and knew how to pack some of Royal’s best sights into one day. We saw many of Southern Sydney suburbs, beautiful cliffs and rock formations on the way to the wedding cake rock, a beach/lagoon, a wildlife park with active Koalas and Wallabees, a scenic overlook on Bald hill, and the famous south coast bridge all in a few hours
