Hiking Table Mountain via the Kasteelpoort route to the Cableway is one of the best ways to see many different sides of the mountain in one hike. It offers city views over Cape Town, Atlantic Ocean, and the backside of the mountain views, and offers you interesting pathways as you hike along.

We meet you at your hotel and discuss what was booked for you, What the weather is doing, how everyone is feeling, then we make a call as to what route we will do. We take care of the transfers to and from the mountain. All you need to do is wake up, dress in light, layered clothing and supportive shoes and take it one step at a time. We share info along the way, on the most incredible routes, sharing insights and views all around.

5.00Hike was absolutely wonderful! Started promptly at 5 am. We originally had 2 couples scheduled to go, and one couple had to back up and she didn't even blink an eye. Lauren asked us a few questions to determine what type of hike would be best for us. That was so appreciated as we had picked a hike that would not have been a good fit for our skill set. Lauren was very conscientious, making sure our walk was safe, we were feeling good, asking questions about our trip. She was very knowledgeable about all the plants and animals and rock formations. I don't think there was one single question she wasn't able to answer! She knew exactly where the great locations were for photo opportunities and was quick to offer to take photos for us. We had a snack and a break before heading back down. For not living her entire life in South Africa/CapeTown, Lauren as the best! I would recommend her to anyone wanting to hike TableTop.

5.00My wife and I had an amazing experience hiking Lion’s Head Mountain with Johan October. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals, and the mountain itself. He seems to know every rock on the treacherous climb, which made us feel very comfortable and safe in his presence - thanks Johan!

5.00We adjusted our route due to weather and cable car access for descent. Lauren and Geoff were very knowledgeable of all the different routes of Table Mountain and put us at ease as we changed course. Geoff is an avid botanist and great to learn about all the local flora and fauna.

5.00Definitely one of those trips one could do by oneself but hiking with Johan with Mother City was 1000 times better. Not only did we get detailed information about the area’s history and politics but he was extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. This morning I was talking to someone going to Cape Town and I told him to contact Johan immediately

5.00Spent a great day hiking with Johan. We hiked at a comfortable pace which allowed him to point out a seemingly endless number of plants and birds. His love of the mountain and knowledge of its history and people added so much to the hike. If we had hiked on our own we would have seen some lovely views but missed a world of hidden treasures

5.00My SIL and I hiked up Table Mountain with Yvette. It was a blast! Yvette was wonderful. She picked us up at the hotel and had everything we might need including hats, jackets, water, snacks, first aid kit. We learned a lot about Table Mountain and Cape Town and felt so accomplished when we made it to the top.
