  Second appointment in 2 years. The quality is always there, very nice vehicle, nice and friendly driver. The music was on top. Transfer between the airport and Sainte Anne passed too quickly. Then we privatized the driver half a day for 6 people for a ride at our own pace on the north mainland. Thank you for everything, and continue to make us discover your island in this good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

  First day: transfer from the airport to the Costa boat, waiting with our name on a sign and on time, very good welcome and contact. Then on the return of the cruise: Pick up at the descent of the boat, always on time, visit of the island with explanation, then drive to our hotel at the end of the day. The next day, pick up from the hotel, visit the rest of the island and transfer to the airport. Drive carefully, very comfortable vehicle, very friendly. I recommend.

  This tour was canceled 2 days prior to our arrival in Guadeloupe. No explanation and no assistance in finding another tour, Things do happen, but there does need to be a contingency so travelers are not left without a tour. Due to the late notice all the other tours were booked and we wound up having to walk through the town and not see the island. As they say do your homework and read the reviews . This is not a good way to do business.

  Where to start with this review…1. The vehicle the driver showed up in was nothing like what is shown on their website. When you tell Viator customer service this they respond with “type of vehicle is not specified, only air conditioning is promised.” OK, fair enough but this is misleading at best and a downright bait and switch at worst. The website shows a beautiful van with 3 rows of seating, what showed up was a small dented up suv that would barely fit my family comfortably (with no 3rd row mind you). 2. We were met by a gentleman that spoke broken English but spoke well enough to have a good time and hear the details of our tour. Quickly we found out he was handing us off to someone else. We asked if that driver spoke English to which he smiled and said “not as good as me” which raised concerns. When the beat up SUV showed up I went to speak to the driver and said a few words in English which drew a blank stare and he was looking to his friend for help translating. I wasn’t going to spend 6 hours with the driver who couldn’t deliver the tour we paid for in English as advertised. These two things in and of themselves are enough to warrant a refund but the response from Viator is “we have investigated your claims and the tour provider says this wasn’t true and they delivered as promised.” WHAT?! Of course that’s what they are going to say. Why on earth would I lie about that. We wanted nothing more than to go spend a great day on the island with the family. Since I could see where this was going I was happy to go line by line with what was promised on their website vs. what was delivered. Wi-Fi in the vehicle was promised as well. The car that showed up probably didn’t have a working radio let alone Wi-Fi. This vehicle most certainly did not have Wi-Fi on board. Viator said they’d investigate and, you guessed it, they ‘investigated’ and you’ll never guess the results. “The tour operator said this service was provided.” The Viator customer service is laughable and I’ve spent hours on the phone attempting to get the $415 they owe us refunded. They promise supervisor return calls that never happen or just try to wear you down by putting you on hold until finally a message comes up in French just before they disconnect you after 45 minutes on hold. We’ve been on excursions all over Mexico and the Caribbean and never one time have we had a problem. This was so clearly not what was advertised on the website that my mind is blown that this is even a question. However it’s clear Viator has no intention of fixing this issue and I’m really kicking myself for not doing my due diligence because the internet is littered with folks that have run into similar circumstances. I figured incorrectly that a company with a good reputation like TripAdvisor would stand behind their advertising. Viator has probably spent more money in salaries on the people dealing with me than they would have spent if they had just refunded me from the start. The bottom line is one experience was advertised but what showed up on trip day wasn’t even close to acceptable. The shabby bait and switch vehicle was one thing but it became a safety issue for my family when the driver who was advertised to be English speaking showed up and couldn’t speak English. I was not going to have my family driven around an island in silence when we were supposed to be getting tour of the island with someone that would be able to navigate any situations that may have come up. In conclusion, this 3rd party company, Satevan, that Viator contracts with may be good but on this day they missed the mark for whatever reason (I get it, we all have bad days) and now rather than owning the situation they are lying to Viator about delivering what we paid for and blocking us from getting the trip refunded. Viator won’t stand behind what they are advertising and just look for any excuse not to grant the refund we are owed. Shame on both parties and buyer beware if you choose to do business with these companies.

  Wonderful lanscapes, knowledgeable guide, very friendly and accessible. We used satevan for our hotel transfers as well from the airport.
