Great Day with a local guide in Crete

Arrived on a Seabourne Cruise. There was a little confusion on where the ship tender would arrive, but Maria was able to find us with no problem. Her van held the 6 people in our party very comfortably. We had some nice homemade snacks. We got to see the beautiful view from the old fort outside the city, spent some time in a nice small village and had a great time at a local olive oil business. Our tour ended spending some time in Chania for some shopping. Maria really puts her heart into her business. It was so nice to see Crete with a local guide. Would highly recommend Maria to other travelers.

If you're ever in Chania and looking for a guide, Maria is the one to go with! She was super punctual and made sure everything went smoothly from the start. Our group had some physical limitations, but Maria was really thoughtful, always suggesting places that were manageable for everyone. She made the experience personal, attentive to our needs, and had a great sense of where to take us without pushing anyone too hard. Plus, she was great at keeping us on schedule, ensuring we were back at the cruise terminal with plenty of time to spare. Overall, it was a really stress-free and enjoyable day, and I can’t recommend her enough!

This experience was excellent. We had Maria from imable tours booked through viator. She was absolutely amazing and the best tour guide I have ever had and I’ve gone on a lot of tours. This was a tailor-made tour so I gave Maria some ideas of what we were looking for and she came back with a perfect itinerary and suggestions. She packed homemade Creteon snacks for us. She was extremely knowledgeable, took us to all the right places at the right time and was able to pack in a lot in one day as we were on a ship which limited our time we did so many wonderful things and she made us all feel like family by the end of the day we all wanted to take her on the ship with us. Incredible and she was an excellent driver as well so nice doing private tours and being able to stay longer or stay shorter where you want and take an unexpected stop. You won’t regret this tour!!

Maria is a gem! Her van is large and comfortable. The ramp works perfectly for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. She had water, soft drinks and snacks, including some wonderful homemade goodies her mom made. We toured around the old port a bit and learned some history. We were there on a market day. It was amazing! Cheese, vegetables , fruits, flowers, honey, olives and olive oil. It was amazing. We visited the old church in the city center, and that was interesting. Next week drove up into the mountains and threw picturesque villages and stopped at a family run olive oil distillery. We learned the process from harvesting the olives through packaging. It was very interesting and we had a fine time. We were allowed to sample lots of great olive oil oils as well as some honey And a liquor. We next went to a winery and we treated to a Five wine tasting for I believe €15 each and then we ordered a lovely lunch. Everything was homemade and one of the chefs came out to near where we were sitting to pick some fresh mint for one of the dishes she was preparing. Everyone we encountered on our tour was very kind and made sure that we felt comfortable and had any questions answered, and we learned a lot. Maria is her own operator and is self-employed, and is a delightful young woman. She has been operating her business since 2019 and you can see how caring she is. She is highly responsive regarding any questions and made excellent suggestions to us on how to fill our day based on our preferences.

Our group of 6 adults spent a delightful day with Maria! We did a walking tour of old Chania then drove around the Island of Crete. Maria took us to some very special lookout points, a fun winery and a great place for lunch! We used Imable Tours instead of the shore excursions provided by the ship and certainly know we made the right decision. Thanks, Maria!

We had such a wonderful and enjoyable time with Maria! She had super great suggestions for how the trip best fit our demands, recommended a beautiful beach for going into the ocean and seeing the sunset, and showed us around a cave with local history where you will probably miss it if not introduced by local people. The car was very comfortable; Maria made us feel at ease and at home by preparing food and drinks! She also shared with us lots of Greek myths, and answered all our questions patiently and surely professionally. We could really feel by heart how she loves and devotes to giving us a great trip! It has been such a pleasure that we’d recommend it to our friends. When we have a chance to come back to Crete, we’d definitely go out with IMable again! Thank you and all the best!💙

We loved Maria and our tour! She went out of her way, above and beyond to make sure we had the best and most amazing experience. She treated us just like local friends, and made sure we saw the most beautiful landscapes and ate the most delicious food!! She really cares and makes sure you are seeing the best of the best. My wife and I were part of a group of 28 that had the pleasure to be with Maria for part of 3 days, April 26 thru 28. She made our first trip to Crete easy and enjoyable. We did a tour of Heraklion, a trip to Chania, a visit to Palace of Knossos and a trip to the Heraklion Archeological Museum. The treats that she provided after each event were a welcome surprise. We had the opportunity to sit and talk to Maria during our last dinner. She was interesting to talk to and shared much about the life on Crete. She really gave the trip a personal touch. I highly recommend this company.
