  Andy was in contact with us from the time of booking, and we were able to customize the tour with him exactly to our interests. He was very accommodating and made sure everything was arranged just the way we wanted. Andy proved to be extremely knowledgeable and readily answered all of our questions. He was attentive throughout the day and happy to adjust our mode of transport when needed to make the experience smoother. We had a thoroughly enjoyable tour with him

  Matsumoto gave us a brilliant experience of Kyoto in just one day. He was very knowledgeable without being overwhelming and tailored the day to our interests. We explored iconic sites like golden temple Fushimi inari shrine, Nashik market, and the historic streets of Gion. Note that transportation was not included, we paid the driver in cash — but it was worth it for the convenience and comfort. Some temples also accept cash only so make sure you have enough cash.

  Hino was a friendly and enthusiastic guide who took us to the beautiful sites of Kinkaku-ji, Fushimi Inari Taisha, and Gion. We enjoyed the day and his positive energy. We did feel that more detailed historical and cultural context would have enriched the experience further. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant introduction to Kyoto's highlights.

  We had a wonderful day touring with Yasu, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and easy to spend time with. He personalized the itinerary to our pace and interests, and his deep understanding of Japanese history, culture, and local life made the golden temple, garden, and walk more meaningful. The tour was smooth, well planned, and engaging from start to finish, and we would highly recommend Yasu to anyone visiting Nara or Kyoto.

  Tad was fantastic! He knows Kyoto inside and out and shared fascinating historical insights about everything we saw and discussed. We explored the Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and the stunning Kinkakuji (Golden Temple), and Tad also gave us helpful tips for the rest of our stay. It was a truly memorable day

  Yukari made our day in Kyoto absolutely unforgettable! She took us to the city’s must-see highlights, including Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market, and Gion, and shared fascinating stories about the history and culture at each stop. We loved tasting local treats at Nishiki Market and wandering the atmospheric streets of Gion with her guidance. Even with a group of 10, she kept everything running smoothly while making the day fun and engaging for everyone. The tour was an excellent value because of Yukari, we are already planning our next visit!

  Asano is a great guide! he is very informative, joyful, and well-paced. He knew exactly how to make each minute rich in insight and joy. He shared cultural and historical context at each stop, helped us take great photos, and made the experience feel personal and relaxed. We also made great memories together. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Kyoto deeply in just one day.

  My guide was Moto and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We covered a lot of ground around Kyoto, discovering some wonderful unexpected sights, and he shared great insights into the history and culture of each place. We even finished the day at a local izakaya that he knew personally. Fantastic food and atmosphere! Highly recommend.

  First, please be aware that the transportation cost is not included. Our guide Kazz met us along with the driver. Though we paid him JPY 100,000, it was worth every penny of it. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and expert in the history of Kyoto. Make sure that temples also require cash payment which seemed strange to us. The tour was great and our family enjoyed it a lot.
