228 Peace Memorial Park

The 228 Peace Memorial Park is a historic site and municipal park located at 3 Ketagalan Boulevard, Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park contains memorials to victims of the February 28 Incident of 1947, including the 228 Memorial Monument that stands at the center of the park and the Taipei 228 Memorial Museum, housed at the site of a former radio station that operated under Japanese and Kuomintang rule. The National Taiwan Museum stands at the park's north entrance. The park also has a bandshell and exercise areas.

I really enjoyed this tour. We learned a lot about Taiwan & Taipei’s history from our guide Lina, who was Taiwanese and spoke perfect English. This was very informative and I would highly recommend it!

This tour was so much more of a historical education on Taiwan than I thought it was going to be. My understanding of the history and culture was limited and this was an eye opener. The guide was passionate about her history and knowledgeable. She made it fun, even with the difficult to hear parts. The city sites were great and it it was an excellent way to spend some time learning and seeing old town Taipei.

We had a really good time on our walking tour with Bessy. We learnt a lot about Taiwan's history while visiting some of Taipei's most important landmarks. We also got to taste the refreshing aiyu jelly. We would recommend the tour to anyone visiting Taipei.

The tour was interesting and lively and informative. Tâilé was an excellent guide with deep knowledge and patience. She took us to areas we would not have found without her expertise and introvert to a genuine Taiwan experience while providing insight of the politics of the Taiwanese people. She also did a great job of keeping everyone involved and took ample time for suggestions.

We enjoyed our tour with Taile today. She gave us lots of information about Taiwanese history and he presented it in a very interesting and lively way. We learned so much! She also took us to the market to try a local fruit drink. Very enjoyable!
