We had a really great day exploring Taipei with our guide Jennifer. She’s very knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely interesting. We could ask anything at any time, and she was always patient and helpful. The tour felt very personal and well adapted to what we were interested in. The Confucius Temple and Longshan Temple were definitely highlights. Before this, we knew almost nothing about Confucianism and Daoism, but Jennifer gave us a clear and engaging overview without it ever feeling overwhelming. We also liked that the pace was relaxed—there was a good balance between learning and just enjoying the day, including a nice café break. The car was comfortable, there was water provided, and everything was well organized from the start with easy communication before the trip. All in all, a really enjoyable and insightful experience. We’d definitely recommend this tour.

Stanley was fantastic! He had an incredible depth of knowledge about Taipei’s history and shared it in such an engaging way. He was kind, polite, and went above and beyond by taking great photos and offering plenty of helpful recommendations. I would absolutely recommend him 100%!

Our tour guide was excellent! She stayed with us from beginning to end. She really took care of us was there when we walked off plane communicated things well. Helped us with translation and communicating with salesmen. She even walked us back into airport when done with your and made sure we got to correct gate. I would highly recommend if you have a long layover in Taipei.

Evan was very well versed in the history of the temples and adjusted the schedule as he saw fit based on what I wanted to prioritize seeing during my layover. Overall such a cool and fun experience!

With limited time, we managed to have a good experience seeing some interesting parts of Taiwan. Our guide Howard was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we enjoyed our short time there. Definately made me want to come back and experience more of Taiwan.

Evan was very knowledgeable of the area and very personable overall. He modified the tour slightly based on our preferences and where we wanted to spend the most time. We felt in the short amount of time, we were able to see and appreciate the culture of Taiwan, the historical landmarks, the touristic side of things, the public transportation system, and the delights of the food and street market. Because of this tour, we actually want to visit Taiwan more versus just doing this during an extended layover from the airport. 100% recommend this and request Evan if you can!

We had a wonderful eight hour car and walking tour of Taipei city, with a great tour guide, Jennifer, who gave us a flexible tour of all the import sites, including temples, old town, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, and Taipei 101! She helped us have a wonderful place for lunch, and even took some great photos of us at the sites! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending a day in Taipei and especially recommend our wonderful tour guide Jennifer.

I highly recommend this tour and would give it a solid 5/5 stars (or more). We had a 9-hour layover in Taipei, and instead of just staying indoors, we decided to explore the city. Since we had limited time, we searched for private tour companies to take us out and about. We wanted to save time compared to commuting publicly and have our own tour guide to introduce us to the city’s tourist and historical places. Who better to know the city and share interesting facts than a local? Since all the popular tours were booked up for that day, I went with whatever was left. I didn’t have a high expectation about the tour because it only had a few reviews (all good though), but I booked it anyway because I didn’t have any other options. Booking was straightforward, and they sent us the usual info about what to expect. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng, also messaged us through the app WhatsApp (which I’d suggest using if you’re in Asia) to give us his number and let us know we could reach him out anytime with any questions. The tour was absolutely amazing! We visited Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, Liberty Square, Taipei 101, and even got a ride through special spots like Tree Avenue and the Presidential Office. We also strolled through a night market, enjoyed some delicious pearl milk tea (yum!), explored the River Port (the first business center), and visited Dadaochen (the second business center). We especially loved the River Port; it was so calm and peaceful. Herbert walked with us through these areas, sharing the history and fun facts about each place. He also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own and take in the sights. All of this happened in just 6 hours (or 5 hours since we arrived late due to a flight delay), and he still managed to bring us back to the airport with enough time before our flight. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng (Whatsapp # +886-989370422, email: [email protected]), was an absolute gem. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and always smiling. He was also professional and knowledgeable about Taipei’s/Taiwan’s history. His passion for photography was evident as he captured every moment of our tour. He’s not a professional photographer, but he loves capturing moments. His eye for detail is amazing, and he took pictures of us at every stop. As a bonus, he sends you a copy of all the photos he took at the end of the tour. And after a day or two (I can’t remember exactly), he compiles all these pictures into a video! It’s truly amazing! I’d definitely get in touch with Herbert when I’m back in Taiwan. He really made our quick trip so special for my son and me. 😊

The gentleman was lovely but he was more of a driver than a guide as his English was poor and very hard to understand.
