The Yata Ferry area has 1300 years of history, and from here, you can take the only remaining ferry boat out to Kitsunemorijima, an uninhabited island that has a campground on it. Although it is relatively close to the central part of the city, you can enjoy relaxing here in a natural environment, sitting by a campfire, walking around the island, or any number of other activities available to do there. So why not hop on the ferry and enjoy an experience that's a little bit different from sightseeing in the city?

5.00I want to give a shout out to one of the waitresses in the restaurant, named Alexia. I ate lunch there 3 days ago and had about 3 hours to kill, so I used my computer for 2.5 hours and watched Sunday afternoon NFL football. Alexia is a great ambassador for the Crowne Plaza Melbourne-Oceanfront. A really great hostess, waitress; very friendly, helpful and accommodating!! Thanks for a great afternoon Alexia. I really appreciated your help!!!!

5.00My friend and I was super lucky to join this tour and meet the nice people there. I had so much fun learning how to light a campfire as in a survival situation. We then had in a beautiful table setup coffee and snacks aside with roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Finally, we had a memorable experience of planting Sakura trees in the island. If I got another chance, I’ll not hesitate in experiencing this activity again.

5.00I got a great oppurtunity to visit Kitsunemori Island and particpate into camp fire.Me and my friend Sara had a great time with them. They took us to island by boat very safetly. After that we had great campfire and coffee together while sitting and talking with each others. It was a great company, with friendly people with great hospitality. Highly recommended for the backpackers,campers and families looking for natural calm environment.

4.00It was really fun going to this island because it’s accessible only by a small boat; and getting to the dock itself was already an adventure in the quiet countryside of Matsue. The island itself is peaceful ana full of nature. At the heart of the area is a lush area where you can enjoy an afternoon with the hospitable caretakers and guide of the area; I learned a lot about the area.

5.00Going to Kitsunemori Island was a unique and fun experience of nature with friends. The campsite was carefully prepared where we roasted some marshmallows and chitchat with friends over a local blend of coffee, snacks, and fruit. There was a hammock where u can just sit and contemplate on the wonders of nature on sight. The sight of some migratory swans made strolling around the island more exciting. It is highly recommended for those who easily find wonders even in the simplest things.

5.00I went to this uninhabited island called Kitsunemori-jima several times with my friends on a chartered ferry operated by Yada Ferry. The people are very friendly and hospitable. Strolling around the island, drinking coffee, roasting marshmallows, and talking with people was a really fun experience. I think this is one of the most unique experiences in Matsue where you can enjoy its nature and interact with the lovely locals. I highly recommend it!
