Tamanique Waterfalls

We drive for about 25 minutes to get to the beautiful town of Tamanique, from here we start the hike downhills. 20 minutes later we find the very first waterfalls and start jumping/swimming.

Amazing experience overall! The hike is nice and a little challenging but super rewarding once there. The waterfalls are stunning! Also Pablo, the guide, is such a nice chill gentleman and made the experience much better! Highly recommended

We had the best experience on this waterfall hike! Our guide, Pablo, was friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun. It was a beautiful way to be immersed in the nature and beauty of this place.

Our tour guide , Salva , drove us to the Tamanique waterfalls about a 30 minute drive from Surf city. On the journey he spoke of the history of the indigenous people of El Salvador . We started the walk accompanied by a local guide with a 30 Minute walk down to the highest waterfall - approx 40 m. We could cool down after the walk in the beautiful clear waters and jumped off the ledges into the pools . We then walked up a further 10-15 mins visiting another water hole and falls , smaller , but just as beautiful . Silva was an excellent guide and we all enjoyed his local knowledge of the region . A great afternoon.

Went on a wonderful hike with the tour guide Chamba, an amazing guide and an amazing soul. I went alone and I was very nervous to go on a solo trip but my first activity was this hike and Chamba made me feel so comfortable and confident but also safe. Great knowledge of the area, nature and waterfalls. Fun communicative and helpful. I’m not a great swimmer but Chamba directed me on what was on my level if difficulty. When I come back this is the first person im notifying. Thank you Chamba and thank you TuncoLife Tour Agency

Amazing trip to a magical, beautiful refreshing waterfall you can stand under and swim in! Chamba the guide is very friendly and helpful. I had a great time, and its a good break from all the surfing to see more of the country.

Perfect tour. It was well organized , Chumba is very nice and attentive. The cascadas are very cool and you can swim/jump in it. Thanks a lot

Wonderful tour! We enjoyed experiencing the beautiful nature El Salvador has to offer. Chamba was our guide; very professional, knowledgeable and kind. Will highly recommend to anyone visiting El Salvador- it’s a must!

The waterfalls were so so beautiful and our tour guide- Chamba made it even more amazing. Very funny and kept everyone in a good mood. Also he did some super crazy jump into the waterfall and was more than happy to take pics and videos. Totally recommend the experience. Highly suggest to wear athletic shoes.:)
