Most of the time we start our tours in our office located in El Tunco beach, however, if you are not in the area, free pick up is available in La Libertad area or in San Salvador city.
Tamanique Waterfalls
We drive for about 25 minutes to get to the beautiful town of Tamanique, from here we start the hike downhills. 20 minutes later we find the very first waterfalls and start jumping/swimming.

5.00Salva was a great tour guide in El Salvador. The place he showed us was absolutely beautiful, and the waterfalls were amazing. I really enjoyed the trip and had a very good time there with my friend. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting El Salvador.

5.00We did this tour today and it was great from start to finish. The organization was really good — we got picked up in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, which you definitely appreciate once you realize how warm it gets out there. The hike down to the waterfall was lovely and not too strenuous. But honestly, what made the experience stand out were the guides. They were super attentive and really looked after everyone in the group — you could tell they genuinely cared, not just going through the motions. The best part? We were the first group to arrive at the waterfall, so we had it pretty much to ourselves for a bit before others started coming in. That alone was worth it. If you're in the area and looking for something fun and well-organized to do, this is definitely one to add to the list. Highly recommend! 🌊

5.00We had an amazing afternoon doing the Waterfall Hike with Tunco Life Tours! The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about the hike and the area. Communication before the hike was great, and a coordinated pickup spot was discussed in advance. The tour itself was only an afternoon’s worth of time — so perfect if you’d like to do something in the morning beforehand! For $45 per person, it’s also very fairly priced and accommodating to younger tourists. I’d definitely book future tours with them!

5.00Fantastic experience, chamba was super friendly , sweet , knowledgeable and had an abundant supply of home grown mangoes to keep us happy. The waterfalls are beautiful and the hike is super pleasant. Jumping in the cold water after a sweaty hike and just generally being in such humid climate was so so rewarding.

5.00This tour was amazing! The two locations that our tour guide Chamba and Freddy took us to were gorgeous. The hike down really gives you a sweat so it was very refreshing to swim in the waterfalls. They are both very knowledgeable and kind people. These guides also know how to work a camera for the best pictures. The hike can be difficult for some but it is definitely worth it!

5.00We booked this tour last minute with Salva, the owner and operator of the company, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel, his warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for his guests were immediately apparent. Salva drove us to the stunning Tamanique Falls near El Tunco — a truly breathtaking destination. The hike down to the waterfalls was enjoyable and relatively easy, while the trek back up provided a satisfying challenge. The falls themselves are absolutely gorgeous, offering a perfect way to cool off and unwind after the hike. Before heading to the waterfalls, we stopped for lunch at a charming local organic farm, where we enjoyed free-range chicken paired with fresh vegetables straight from the garden — simple, delicious, and memorable. What made the experience truly special was Salva himself. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating insights into El Salvador's recent history and the remarkable changes the country has been going through. His knowledge, passion for his homeland, and genuine desire to help made the entire experience feel personal and authentic. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Salva. You won't be disappointed

5.00We did this tour as a group of five friends from El Tuco Beach. We did this experience with Pablo. He was an awesome guide and very safe driver. His English is perfect and we had a lot of fun. He took a bunch of photos of our group and went above and beyond for some of the slower people in our group. 10/10 experience
